Regularly take a walk along Stratford Upon Avon's fantastic canal path that stretches from the town centre basin all the way to the village of Wilmcote. The scenery is breathtaking on a sunny day and gives you a different perspective on the town from the usual tourist places. Not to be missed and can offer a peaceful alternative to the... More

The quintessential European scene awaits you in Stratford-upon-Avon. The birthplace of Shakespeare far surpasses anything you could hope for when visiting a small "village". The canal itself is so lush and green. Look one way and you will see a couple rowing a boat, surrounded by geese. Look the other way and you will find a quaint tour boat that... More

We took the canal cruise from the canal basin, down the lock along the river (no more than 500m metres) and back again. Whilst quite pleasant, it was a bit short, no more than 45 minutes and not a lot to see really. The only thing of interest was the boat nearly ran down an errant rowing boat which crossed... More

We had a very pleasant trip up and down the Canal . There are a choice of three canal trips ,the one we took was the smallest boat . The young man who was our tour guide was very pleasant and helpful and if you are exhausted from all the sightseeing this is a great way to recover !!

Going through a lock was interesting but the trip it self was too short less than 20mins for £6, most of that time was waiting in the lock. would be nice if it was longer but good commentary.

very short trip took longer to get through the locks than the trip itself, was disappointed, but our own fault we chose the wrong one.

While we were in Stratford we took a walk along the canal, it was so peaceful, just the sound of the birds and nature at its best, we walked along the.path which takes you up to the church, then a little detour out of the cemetery down the path to the bridge where you can cross over the canal and...
