Go to Tourist information and pick up a map/guide, you will get vouchers and local information, we took a boat trip along the river it picks up outside the Holiday Inn but I'm sure there are other company's, it was so lovely and relaxing well worth £5 each (50p off voucher from Tourist Information)

We loved the canal tour and locks on the canal. not too long or too short (do-able in an hour). Swans, church, history audio and peaceful canal was spectacular.

we experienced both the hour long guided tour by boat, and also hired a row boat to maximise the enjoyment of this waterway. So many swans & ducks on the water, and many other people doing the same as we were - just enjoying the day.

Lovely sedate boat trip from outside the RSC Theatre up to the weir then back and down to the marshes. Only £5.50 each with a commentary and lovely little boat.

Fabulous first evening in Stratford. A very welcome relaxing cruise - including an interesting talk by one of the crew. Afterwards a walk round the town with interesting history talk and ghostly tales. Very informative and entertaining.

We ended up buying 5 loaves of bread so that our son could continue laughing each time he threw a piece in the water! There were lots of swans and geese but not many ducks (there used to be more years ago). It's a great place to walk with your family and shops are also close by. We always have... More

I love this place, I have been twice and had afternoon tea at the same place, right by the river. Its a tiny place but they bring out the food to you as you sit in the sun on the grass watching the swans and ducks and enjoy the comedy of people trying to row boats for the first time.... More
