Stratford-Upon-Avon is a beautiful, quaint village, with unique English architecture. The birthplace of Shakespeare. Take a walk along the river and enjoy afternoon tea at Anne Hathaway's Tea Rooms.

Car-parking is difficult in Stratford on Avon so what better way to visit this great historical town than by its original and central easy-access marina,- via a narrow boat.. Narrow-boat hire doesn`t appear cheap initially at over a grand a week, but spread over a group or family of four or six it`s less per head than a cheap hotel... More

My friend and I walked along the canal and the river several times and enjoyed meeting people and the beautiful and restful scenery. It was fun to watch the people and their dogs.

Enjoyed a very pleasant walk down one side of the canal and return on the other side. We did this walk on a Saturday when it was raining intermittently but this did not cause problems as a lot the walk way was overhung by huge trees - keeping the rain off us. We walked from the RSC to the church... More

While visiting the Cotswolds you must visit Strafford upon Avon, a rather large town with many interesting sights with the star attractions; the home of William Shakespeare and Ann Hathaways Cottage both a must see. Regarding the canal, if you decide to take my advise and visit the town you must take a ride on the boats that cruise the... More

Pretty river with lots of boats. People really live on their boats . They are decorated with flowers and well taken care of. Sit in the park and enjoy the view.

Narrow canal heading North from Stratford towards Kings Norton, 25 miles in length. Very pretty stretch of waterway, with quite a few locks. Nice place for towpath walk/stroll.
