On Sundays there is usually a market at the Gardens where all sorts of interesting things are for sale. Often quite good buskers performing as well. Plenty of places for eats and drinks around as well including several places at the market. Feeding the birds on the river is quite good fun if you have young children with you.

we spent time on the river boats starting here. feeding the Ducks, Swans,& geese and the seagulls came and took bread from hubbys hands when he held it up high. Such an amazing feeling. if it had been summer we would have been spending time sitting having a picnic here.

Beside the River Avon is this memorial to the Bard of Stratford. A statue of a seated Shakespeare is surrounded by a flower base with bronze figures of characters from his plays-Lady Macbeth, Prince Hal, Falstaff and Hamlet at the corners. 'This a fine place to relax and watch the river traffic and enjoy the impromptu entertainment.

It's Absolutley beautiful here! There's lots to see and do, there are often entertainers in the gardens and all that we saw were brilliant! There are toilets across the road and plenty of place to get something to eat and drink. The lock and the basin are fascinating and if you time it right you can see the boats go... More

Tthe gardens are located on the banks of the river Avon. They were modernised a few years ago and all the trees were removed. The best thing to do is watching the live entertainers and looking at the narrow boats moored in the basin .Good for families but have to cross the river to find the play area.

Walked through these at two very different times of the year - a busy summer day and a rather cooler one in February! Nice to walk through both times as it seemed a completely different place. Good for wheelchairs.
