Lovely character house full of local history. Fantastic flower gardens. Love the commentary . Nice cafe opposite. Food was lovely and finished with a cream tea . The service was slow due to technical problems but the girls kept smiling while working very hard

The gardens are lovely. Talk on entering the house was very interesting and educated us to where the term square meal came from. Lots of interesting thing to see. A nice way to spend an hour or two.

Beautiful gardens and superb house with interesting and knowledgeable guides. The car park was only a few yards walk from the house and £1 for 3 hours was more than reasonable! We spent a very enjoyable afternoon at the property and would definitely go back - especially as the admission ticket is valid for 12 months

spent ages walking, and photographing, the expansive gardens and enjoying the blend of all the colours in this garden. A very pleasant environment on a summer's day. Also enjoyed viewing within the cottage - but the magic is definitely the garden.

Beautiful gardens, well looked after and very interesting to see how the house was constructed over the years. Your ticket is valid for 12 months for a return visit. Cost approx. £10 or you can get a value ticket for more than one of the key buildings in the area.

We bought a pass to all of the Shakespeare properties and every one was interesting. You get a real sense of life in that time as the rooms have furniture from the period. The kitchen also give a glimpse of how everyday life was managed. The guide was very helpful and stayed in the house in case anyone had questions.... More

Beautiful surroundings beautifully kept. Car park payments a bit on the nose, but that's Britain eh?
