Barbara kept us interested, amused and entertained for over two hours on our town walk around Stratford. She clearly loves and is proud of her town, and her enthusiasm is infectious! We especially appreciated her deep knowledge of Shakespeare. A well thought out route and we were not rushed at all. Nice touch to receive discount offers and discounted tickets to... More

Our guide Barbara ,for this walk was very skilled in conveying the history and architecture of the town . She did this by keeping us amused with anecdotes about many of the details of the sites which were revealed in our 2 hour walk around the centre of Stratford. She was obviously very knowledgeable and skilled in retaining our interest... More

The guide we had gave lots of fascinating facts that we had not known when we walked around by ourselves the day before. She was friendly and happy to answer any questions that we had. She had lots of local knowledge and we appreciated the discount ticket to go up the theatre viewing tower. It gave a great view. It... More

Just been on the Stratford Town Walk. We had Barbara as our guide. Couldn't have asked for a better guide. Very friendly, interesting and obviously very proud of her home town. She enthused about all the sights she showed us and we enjoyed the tour very much. 5 stars to a 5 star tour guide! Thank you.

This is a must do for your visit to Stratford, preferably on your 1st morning. The 2 hours flew by thanks mainly to the presentation from Helen who is one of the best guides we have met. She is very professional, great sense of humour and passionate about the town and of course, Shakespeare. In fact, it was such a... More

We booked a private walking tour for the 2 of us. The instructions, we were given, on where to park were very helpful, and this was just a short walk to our meeting with our guide, Barbara. Barbara showed us all the key buildings in Stratford and also explained the origins of a number of sayings and words used in... More

This is a 2 hour walk around Stratford visiting and hearing about various attractions. Our guide, David, was extremely good - did not overload you with information but gave just enough. He recited the odd bit of Shakespeare and a sonnet or 2 and had a theatrical manner which was enchanting. A great 2 hours.

We took part the Stratford Town walk on 4th of September. The weather was nice and sunny and a rather large crowd gathered at the meeting point. No problem for David who promptly called in backup to split the large crowd into two small groups. As Davids collegue made off with the other group in another direction to avoid crowding,... More

Enjoyed a thoroughly informative tour in the company of Barbara who had an excellent knowledge of her home town. Her enthusiasm for her town and subject were very evident. She understands her audience requirements and judges the pace accordingly. Adapts the tour according to participant agreement. Very impressed and well worth the money. SvB

We were treated to a glorious day in Stratford upon Avon. The weather was beautiful, Barbara our guide was extremely informative about her home town of some 44 years. She managed the must do sights with humour and interesting slants. We really enjoyed our 2 hours and were most appreciative of her enthusiasm and personal input especially on our little... More
