Only one bit of advice if you get a tall person in front of you then your knackered you have limited... More

This is the sequel to Dreamboats and Petticoats and was brilliant. All cast are such good singers and adaptions of songs were great. Having recently been to London and seen 3 different shows there I can truly say that the Theatre Royal is as good if not better than some of the theatres in the west end. Also good central... More

Went to the opening show in the north east at Newcastle Theatre Royal on 20 Jan 2015. Superb musical, packed with all the nostalgic songs from the early 60.s. Faultless performance by all of the cast. Musical numbers sung with brilliance. The story line was good and easy to follow - it all flowed effortlessly. Sound quality and individual performances... We had a tour of the theatre this weekend and it was superb! Our guide was pleasant and informative (as you'd expect) she could be heard clearly and managed to keep us in a tidy group. We started in front of house and went into the auditorium, wings, backstage, quick peek at the orchestra pit before moving upstairs to the... More

We visited the Theatre Royal mid week to see the Panto with two young children aged 7 and 10. The presentation was huge and colourful as you would expect with some outstanding sets and very slick performances from all which was very entertaining. Maybe a little slow to get there, but great once there. I have to say however it... More

Went there for the Panto. Very good, even though they told me when I ordered the tickets they were a restricted view, it seemed fine to me. They might want to ask their staff when they are working on the sweet and drinks stall, not to stand there wittering to each other about their private lives, apart from that a... More

Went to the Snow White panto with my boyfriend and we both had such a good night. Pantomime was funny clever and had everyone entertained, this is my first year coming to the theatre royal and I will definitely be back!

Very disappointed in this show which was very loosely based on a traditional tale. Lacked all the elements expected in a pantomime; jokes not child friendly and humour more suitable for adults. The show seemed to centre around the comedy duo rather than Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (sorry men on knees)!
