We have attended this venue several times since it was refurbished the last being June 2013. The shows which it attracts are usually very good but the venue leaves a lot to be desired. Because of the expensive nature of the tickets we usually buy Upper Circle seats. There is insufficient leg room to start with but to make matters... More

Just been to see Oklahoma at the royal. Show is great- full of fabulous songs and great dance routines plus a good witty script. The only downside is the uncomfortable seats, which have definitely not been designed for normal people. They are small, narrow , tilt forward and do not appear to have any cushioning.everyone in the upper circle seemed... More

Have just returned home after watching The Importance of Being Earnest and then being served a wonderful afternoon tea in the Olivier suite. The tea was outstanding, served by lovely friendly staff. They did the theatre proud. I would urge people to give it a try.

We came to see the show Putting on the Ritz, with Pixie Lott and Christina Rhianoff which was so well done. It was a combination of song and dance and carried off so professionally. All of the cast were well polished and carried off a great show. We'll done

Recently visited with a group to see Putting on the Ritz. You could sense the excitement and anticipation of the show as you made your way through the Theatre to your seats. The staff were very welcoming and on hand to direct and assist everyone. The surroundings are outstanding, the recent refurbishment certainly ticked all the boxes, for showcasing the... More

We went to see Boy in the Striped Pyjamas and the play was excellent, particularly the performances of the two young boys who played the main characters. The seats were comfortable and the view was good. However, our enjoyment was marred by the behaviour of some of the audience..sweet wrappers rustling and phones ringing are,or should be , completely unacceptable in... More
