Recently went to Theatre Royal, Advertising Snow white with seven Dwarfs. Not Dwarfs (men on knees) Feel really cheated after building our grandchildren up to know how entertaining the (real) dwarfs can be. Totally miss sold the concept of the pantomime. If we had been known this we would definitely plumped for Sunderland Empire , where they have the real dwarfs.... More

This was my annual pilgrimage to the Theatre Royal in Newcastle to see what is undoubtedly the best Panto by a million miles that you are ever likely to see - with this years offering Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs. We always book up to a year in advance such is the popularity of this Panto with next years... More

The most amazing traditional Theatre in the centre of Newcastle. This year was the 10th year of this panto running. The theatre itself is so old and traditional, it is a pleasure to watch anything. The panto is great for getting into the Christmas spirit, young or old. But buy your tickets fast, they get booked up a year in... More

Hilarious, I have not laughed so much since .... ever ! With the slap stick comedy and double entendre jokes, this panto is not 'just for kids'. It's so hard to keep the modern child entertained without a screen and a keyboard these days, but they well and truely nailed it. Can't wait till next year, although I don't know... More

Have been numerous times to Theatre Royal, but Snow white and the seven dwarfs" Panto today was something special! Extremely high quality, bright, colourful, full of special effects (they even included a giant T-Rex, completely stunned my 2,5-year old)! extremely fully, Full of (often cheesy) jokes, brilliant actors! Will definitely come back next year!

Visited the theatre to see the Christmas pantomime and it was brilliant. The view from the grand circle was fantastic and the seats were very comfortable

The building architeture is imponent. Decoration is fabulous. Very close to other turistic places and Eldon Square. Easy access. If one does not have too much time on the city this should be in priority.

This must be the best Panto about! It has you splitting your sides from start to finish. It is the same troupe that have been putting it on now for about 10 years and although the jokes are the same every year the predictability makes it all the more funny. The special effects are bettered every year. Adults and kids... More

We were lucky enough to get a table to the Dining Experience in the Theatre Royal. First of all you don't go for the food !!! ......... Soup, Lamb Shank & a slice of cake of some sort !. Abit disappointed with the food, but the show made up for it. Basil, Sybil & Manuel were great. Lots of sketches... More
