Went here to watch a gig. Staff were pretty unhelpful helping us to find seats. Seating very close, the no standing in seating area should be enforced to everyone as we spent a few songs not being able to see. Will do purchase standing tickets. The place was overran by very young people all extremely drunk. I went to toilet... More

Not a great venue. Seats are small. Down stairs is poorly organised. Beer is not good and over priced. The floor is often sticky. Lots of bars but rubbish venue for moving around when full. Toilets not great.

I find this venue extremely disabled friendly. I find the staff are always will to help especially the door staff. I always have a great night at the O2 academy and I like the smaller intimate space between the crowd and the acts. The sound quality could be improved with more up to date speaker/mic equipment but I'm not sure... More

I truly dislike coming here. Unfortunately it's the only medium sized venue around for those bands that can't fill the Arena but think they are too big for places like the Riverside and the Cluny or that The Sage is too posh (it isn't - we saw Hugh Cornwell there and it was great). The staff are just rude -... More

Having seen Nicky McDonald (and having traveled down from Scotland for the gig) I was terribly disappointing by unhelpful staff, poor sound quality meaning that during the set the speaker squealed and screeched on more than one occasion and very poor lighting which made it very hard to look at the act and if you managed to strain your eyes... Agree with a few of the people here. The venue is quite good however, the staff let this establishment down big time. Really poor trip.

Went to see De la Soul last night. Can't believe how poor the sound was. I genuinely could not make out 80% of what was being played. The sound quality the speakers offer has got to be the worst I have ever heard. I went to see Public Enemy at Glasgow Academy and had exactly the same experience - a... More

Loved the venue. Brilliant security staff and quick service at the bar. The only downside was the rather high prices for the drinks.

I've been seeing bands for years but this was a first. The venue was oversold to the point of scary dangerous. Boiling hot, toilets were stinking when I eventually got there , feet were stuck to the floor. getting served at the bar would test the patience of a saint. I'm sure he was great but couldn't see properly, couldn't... More
