As a surprise for my other half I got tickets to see our favourite Geordie comedian Ross Noble. We have been to see him before at City Hall, which is a beautiful building. The shows are always excellent, it's just a shame the seating is so cramped together. I'm only 5th 1", and found it quite uncomfortable so how the... More

Just saw Lee Mack, great gig in a great venue. Ok it is a bit manic trying to get to the loo and for a drink in the break but what the heck. For some of us locals of a certain age, we don't need this to be all swanky and trendy. This is the place we saw The Jam,... More

Definitely not the most comfortable venue in the world with no leg room and comfort-free seats. Good views though from most parts of the hall. Enjoyed Lee Mack and looking forward to Paloma Faith. Centrally located a few minutes from Haymarket Metro and the top of Northumberland Street.

We have been here several times to see different concerts and comedians. This time it was to see Lee Mack. Great venue, not too big, centrally located, I really do love this place.

Went here to see Lee Mack. The show was excellent but the lack of leg room in the balcony seats is disgraceful.

Front row is possibly not the nest option unless you want to attract the 'stars' attention and get a crick in your neck trying to see above the front of the stage. Lee worked - how he worked and his Geordie accents were a delight. Interval went on a bit long which meant he was probably running late which our... More

City hall has great acts but the place is outdated.During the interval they open the doors to cool the place because it has no air con . But people outside the front doors are smoking and it blows straight through the theater. No drinking whilst watching the acts.Drinks are served in plastic glasses. ( why ) your in the bar... More

Just been to see Jon Richardson. ( who was great) Been a while since I was last at City Hall ( my graduation ceremony many years ago). It was looking a bit run down, the queues for the ladies toilet were ridiculous - all the way up the stairs - I gave up after 15 minutes of waiting. The bar... More

I saw the Beatles here in 1964 and have been to numerous concerts ever since. The acoustics and all-round experience would be difficult to better. Many top artists love playing there and I love going there.

This is a old venue now and the stage is very high not great if your front row. The leg room for some seats is terrible could do with more. Sound is also not the best
