to see the Moody Blues. Last visited 41 years ago to see Lindisfarne. The Hall hasn't really aged well; it desperately needs aircon of some description and the seats and legroom are waaay too small to deal with 21st century Brits - the 1970s really were a different planet.... Toilet facilities are inadequate for intervals. Oh well. The Moody Blues... More

much more friendlier because of the small theatre seating. went to see the Osmonds. I was half way up the stalls and still felt near the front. excellent night. staff very friendly. I also went to see an Elvis show a good time was had by all. lots of men in the audience dressed like elvis and were dancing around... More

We hire the hall for our religion organisation and that was the second time i will pay a visit to this hall, It was very spacious and the environment was wonderful and condusive for the period that we were in there. The only problem there is the disable access to the building hall and i believe things will take shape... More

Went to see The Overtones. Much prefer the smaller venues to larger style arenas, so City Hall is perfect. Easily accessible and good acoustics however what lets the venue down is the size of areas for use during breaks. Bar areas small for the audience sizes and queues for toilets were huge, no chance of using them during intervals.

My mother-in-law visited last night to see one of her favourite acts on her birthday! As a long time wheelchair user she is used to finding some places are not suitable for her, however after paying for the most expensive tickets for herself and her carer she was dismayed to find that the disabled seating was shoved to the side... Poor seating, cramped. No chance of getting to the bar or toilet during interval as its underground and like a rugby scrum on the stairs. Awful venue, does not meet needs of modern day humans.

Went to see Belle and Sebastian. Fantastic venue felt like having the concert in your house. Super view from balcony and good quality sound. Really enjoyed the concert. Belle and Sebastian were fantastic as always.

We weren't made aware that we couldn't bring drinks in to the show (despite the drinks all being served in plastic cups, why?) so by the time we finally got served at the bar we only had 10 minutes to neck our drinks, thanks for the warning! Seats very cramped and staff not very friendly. Can't fault the act we... More

This is one of the best venues in Newcastle to watch a show. Beats the Metro anytime and the staff are always friendly, will help you find the best seats and are honest if the views might be slightly restricted!
