Owner description: At the Tyneside Cinema, we give a trip to the pictures the sense of occasion it deserves. We show the best films in stylish and beautiful surroundings, and our varied programme ranges from brilliant films from all over the world to the best Hollywood has to offer. As the last surviving Newsreel theatre still operating as a cinema full-time in the UK, our Grade II-listed building is an important, must-see piece of heritage, not just regionally, but nationally too and it has been lovingly restored to preserve and celebrate the grandeur of its original 1937 art deco design.

Art Deco style cinema with a lovely atmosphere. The bar and cafe are both very nice plus it has the added bonus of being able to take alcohol into the screening too.

I still feel like this a hidden gem in the centre of Newcastle even though it's always busy. A fantastic variety of films in comfortable surroundings, the ability to have marvellous food & drink before &/or after the film & friendly knowledgeable staff - what more could you ask for!

One of the best places to see films, have a pre-movie tipple, and perhaps a post-movie meal. Great place to hook up with friends or relax on own. Safe, welcoming, comfortable and stylish. Not often can you get that mix.

A wonderful place to watch a film. Modern releases and timeless classics. Small screens but ample legroom. I don't do it, but if you want you can have a beer while you watch, you can do. There is a lovely restaurant on the upper floor and a good coffee shop on the ground floor. Prices for everything in the place,... More

Never fail to enjoy an evening at The Tyneside. Enjoy the variety of films too, something for everyone. The bar is fab as are the courses that they put on. I would challenge anyone not to enjoy this venue!
