Great fun, absolutely massive but no audio touring. What's that about? Get with the tines man. Should be more staff to answer questions.

Went here with a group of young people had a great time, the views were amazing and even though it was raining it didn't dampen our spirits

As an outsider, you don't associate Newcastle with historical sights. Even though the Keep is in plain view from the railway station platform, it doesn't 'present' itself, as anything more than a barnacle on a boat. It's actually really interesting. Cromwell, of course, hammered it. Which is why so little of the original castle remains: they were Royalists & resisted... More

I was surprised that Newcastle had a castle with so much history. The entrance fee is very reasonable of £4. Once inside I climbed up the wide spiral staircase to the top and the views are spectacular over the River Tyne and the city of Newcastle.

The keep was excellent and I really enjoyed touring though. My only complaint is I didn't feel like there was enough information provided about each room. Still wonderful though!!

Really interesting place. Bigger on the inside than it looks. Good for exploring as there are lots of twists and turns inside and stunning views across Newcastle from the roof. Lots of interesting information to read about the history inside. Friendly staff.

Historically this place is absolutely brilliant. The views from the top are apparently like no other. You can see some people with cameras on the roof sometimes. I thought from my personal point of view however the stairs are difficult for me to go up. Especially when you have arthritis. I think a sign or some warning would be excellent... More

We went here on the last day in the last hours we were in Newcastle. You can do this sight in 1 hour. I knew nothing was decorated or filled with fourniture, but I didn't need that. The price to go in is very good, only 4£ for adults and 18 or younger are for free. I thought it was... More
