I grew up in Jesmond and for many years the dene was only a five minute walk away, but a different world on entry. It always seemed impossibly vast, and is still a very large (if narrow) park where you can still fill an afternoon with a stroll. It has everything. hills, gradients, bridges, meadows, waterfalls,, stepping stones, ruins, play... More

I've been to a lot of parks around the world, but Jesmond Dene is my favorite by far. It is absolutely gorgeous, and there is nothing quite like a walk along the river.

Lovely venue and great food and drink. Service was friendly yet discreet. Relatively easy to get to, good links with exclusive taxi provisions. Would definitely revisit

I love Jesmond Dene. It is so beautiful in all seasons, I go here often, to take photos, to explore, to take the children for a fun day out. Pets corner is great too which is nice to see various animals so close to home :)

take time to stroll the gardens. Like the oasis in the city, dislike the fact it's over so soon. Like the pub

Very pleasant place to wander and something of a surprise in such a busy, urban city, but gets a bit crowded at times! More refreshment opportunities wouldn't go amiss.

There's nothing really to dislike about Jesmond Dene Park, unless you have trouble using long, if shallow, sets of steps. Jesmond Dene is a steep-sided valley on the eastern side of Newcastle. The surrounding urban areas aren't visible from the valley, once you've gone "over the edge" and none of the sound carries down from there, either. It's a thoroughly... More

Love taking our grandchildren through Jesmind Dene and we are regular visitors the park is well kept with a small petting zoo a visitor centre and cafe at the heart of the park. There are lots of grassed areas for spending lazy afternoons picnicking lovely paths to walk along the little river and children's play areas. Our grandchildren love it... More
