If you have young ones, it's a neat place to take them on a stroll and a visit to Pet's Corner. Pack a lunch and make a morning of it.

A great place to visit. Very near the city centre, but amazingly quiet and peaceful, unless you are standing near the ice cream van or petting zoo when it's school holidays! A great place to wander freely and explore some of Newcastle's history.

It is remarkable to think, as you stroll through the tranquil wooded area of Jesmond Dene that you are in fact simply minutes from the centre of a bustling city. Wether popping out for a coffee, visiting pets corner or walking alongside the peaceful stream this is a great place to go and relax.

nice trails to walk, old mill and other buildings from industrial era. Some graffiti on buildings and a little trash here or there but overall a clean and nice park.

A lovely place to jog, walk the dog or take a stroll. A true oasis close to central Newcastle. Well worth a visit or a trip to Pets corner whilst you are here.

Jesmond Dene is perfect for relaxing walks and exploring history in the midst of a busy city. The land, given to the public by Lord Armstrong is littered with little pockets of history including ruined buildings such as Jesmond Mill, the cattle run and the banqueting hall that give insight as to what this part of Newcastle was like centuries... Jesmond Dene is a wonderful relaxing place hidden away from the hustle and bustle of Jesmond and Newcastle. In good weather its so peaceful just walking along all the paths and exploring the old derelict mill building and stone humpback bridges with the dene running underneath. For the kids ( and the big kids in us ) there is Pets... More
