Had a wander around here as was staying in a hotel in the area. It's a stunning green park in the middle of Newcastle, didn't realise it even existed. Great for a Sunday stroll.

We only discovered Jesmond Dene a couple of months ago & have already been 3 times. Beautiful scenery, a nice area for a stroll, play park, animal corner, cafe with toilets & baby changing facility. I think there is a disabled toilet too. The cafe can get busy at times, there is outdoor seating to the cafe too so it... More

Just the most lovely hidden gem in the middle of a city. We strolled around on a lovely sunny day, enjoying the sparkling water of the dene. There was a children's farm within the grounds which appeared to be enjoyed by all, young and old!! The atmosphere with us was relaxed but there were plenty other people enjoying different activities.... More

Went here for a saturday walk, it was amazing - we started off in heaton park (I think!) and saw the amazing shoe tree, which is epic! we enjoyed walking though the parks, there was a lovely feel to them, and crossing from one park to another was really really easy. Pet's corner was lovely, the goats rock. The cafe... More

Jesmond Dene Park is well worth visiting for a quiet stroll, a walk with the dog or a jog. It is so nice to find such a welcoming green space in the midst of a bustling area of a big city. The park feels safe and is well looked after. It is frequented by many local people, students and visitors... More

Once you have found somewhere to park it is a nice place to walk. Lots of people around walking children and dogs, nice pets corner, nice waterfall. Nice all round for an hour

£6 million the local council spent here and what a great job they've made. Upgraded pathways, a new pets corner.

Enjoyed a Sunday afternoon walk through the Dene. Having driven past many times, it was a treat to discover this deep, secluded valley in the middle of the city. The only disappointment was that the animals enclosures were not fully stocked and looked rather sad. Hopefully they will return in the better weather.
