Spectacular park just off the City Centre - Pets corner has recently been revamped and is a perfect place to take youg family (and old!) and the visitor centre is modern with a lovely shop are and cafe attached. The Dene itself is just lovely to walk through with many areas accessible to wheelchairs.

This could be a lovely wooded park, with a stream, waterfalls and the ruins of an old mill and banquet hall. It's pleasant for a walk or run, and also has a small petting farm. Markets held on the Armstrong Bridge are always fun to browse. However, the park is poorly maintained. The woodland areas are overgrown with abandoned trash,... More

A delightful wooded valley with plenty of easy paths, and enough space to feel you're on your own. The waterfall and old mill are charming.

There is also a place to eat (Not reviewed). it's a beautiful place to visit, with or without children. Green open spaces, a stream and plenty of places to picnic. The only downside is that parking... More

Enjoyed a visit to this lovely park during a weekend in Newcastle. A delightful park to enjoy a walk with streams, waterfalls and bridges. There is a small petting zoo for children and a nice cafe though it was closed. Thoroughly recommend a visit

A beautiful, peaceful Park which is a credit to Newcastle. We visited twice for wonderful walks whilst staying in the nearby Rosebery Hotel.
