This green strip is a great place for locals and visitors to spend anything from a short visit to a a full day (including a picnic I would suggest). On a sunny warm day there are sun traps, an ice cream van and a great cafe. These are at the busier Armstrong bridge end. If you want a quieter stroll... More

Its not huge and the play area is very small but the kids seem to love this place. The area with the animals is well looked after and entertains the kids. The open spaces are good and plenty of places to explore. The cafe is good and not expensive.

I came here not knowing what to expect, and I was truly mindblown by the scenery. If you're a nature person than this is a wonderful place to go. It's like a mini forest where you can just relax and enjoy the nature. There's also a small zoo and gift shop inside.

Love the greenery, open spaces, safe feeling and it's just so pretty. I used to work nearby and loved lunchbreaks wandering round, even in the snow it was a lovely peaceful place to be. Friends do boot camp there, it's a hot spot in the summer for people from every walk of life and I love it! :o)

Jesmond dene is a little haven in the otherwise industrial landscape. As a country girl, I missed green fields whilst I was at University. The Dene and the moor gave me a taste of what I craved. The paths are wonderful for exploring, meaning that you can run for miles, forgetting how far you have gone! The petting zoo, fields... More

I live a 20 min walk from the park and use it regularly both summer and winter. Very scenic with its waterfall and old Mill. Always busy with dog walkers, joggers, amateur photographers and families. Lovely childrens petting zoo and good food and pleasant staff in the cafe. Highly recommend
