If you're visiting, keep walking north past the zoo and the (poor) Fisherman's lodge. Keep going past the millhouse and the waterfall - the park goes on for another mile or so beyond the waterfall, under the road and opens out into further wooded area. Hardly anyone goes - great for running, dog walking or just a quiet stroll.

Stayed nearby and it was such a beautiful day we felt we should get out and about for a walk. What a lovely place to have on your doorstep.

My first visit to Jesmond and we strolled from the town to Jesmond Dene in bright sunshine. This is a lovely place to spend the day. Plenty of walks, large area to sit or picnic and best of all, the Pets Corner. This is not a huge area, but is fascinating to young and old alike. There is a large park above the Dene with a shallow lake and great apparatus to play on

jesmond dene park is great for long walks and there is plenty to look at. if you like animals, waterfalls or trickling streams this is the place to go P.S if you want something to eat at the restaurant you better not be picky as there is not much choice

Love Jesmond Dene, it has perfect scenery and pets corner is great! My dad used to work for the council and done loads of work there, and he knows a lot of little, beautiful places that hardly anyone goes to in the dene!

Local artists gather along the bridge in Jesmond Dene selling their crafts on Sunday. I've purchased a number of beautiful photos of Newcastle on the bridge. Easy parking. Easy nature trail to navigate to a quaint restaurant below. Go for the sweets!

Had an absolutely wonderful meal but glad I did not have to pay for it, The prices were absolutely ridiculous for what was served although it was very nice
