Great place for families with young children and teenager's, plenty of attractive activities to get your brain working, no need to find eatery as the restaurant is reasonably priced.

This is the 3rd year I've visited Maker Faire, and it's great! Even though I'm a retired single woman, with no children, I still like exploring and enjoying all the exhibits. This year, I tried my hand at soldering a badge,( with no hands lost! ) I think it's never too late to try new things, and marvel at the... More

Always enjoy our days out here. From young to old we all enjoy it. This weekend Maker Fair was on,, awesome and highly recommended for everyone. Not cheap to get in but you sure do get your money's worth. I always buy an annual pass as we like to go often.

We went for the annual two day Maker Faire, which I enjoyed a few years ago. There were lots of exhibits and things happening, and families looked to be having a great time. However, most exhibits were either geared towards children, or towards technology specialists. Those of us who don't want to buy books on detailed computer coding, or play... More

Quite impressive building inside out - great all purpose space and layout for various exhibition. For Makers Faire, I saw various amazing inventions to latest technologies - from amateur inventors to university & large companies. Quality of exhibitions and the way facility was best utilized it was well impressive and one day was not long enough to walk around to... More

We vistied this with our 10 year old daughter. There were a variety of interesting displays, a 20 minute lecture on brain development and neuroplasticity, an excellent planetarium presentation, a "4 D" Spongbob Square pants ride and a decent cafe. A nice way to spend a few hours in a nice city

Check which exhibition is on first. If interests you then it's well worth a visit. Been for Walking with Dinosaurs and Body Worlds. I have been too when there hasn't been an exhibition on and although the 4D ride is there along with the Plantarium - I'd rather pay the same money to go when there's an exhibition on also.

coming from a scientific background, the life science centre makes science accessible and exciting for all ages. The centre is full of small activities across the entire site which anyone can take part in, several shows take place throughout the day including at the indoor planetarium and 4d experience. What makes the life science centre an exceptional place to go... More

This was an expensive (£30 for a family of three) place and we strongly felt it a total waste of our time and money. We wish we'd done something else with our time. It just added to our huge disappointment of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne overall. The 'Meet A Scientist' (the sign was a printed out Word doc) area on the ground floor... More
