Not a typical science museum . Lots of interactive exhibits. The young explorers zone great for the pre-schoolers. We bought an annual pass!

They clearly forgot that Easter Holidays started started this week in lots of regions. Half of it was closed and it's clearly all being geared up for a "launch" on the Easter weekend. We went around in 30 minutes. The only good thing was the planetarium show but even then, there was only one show (others have a varying program... More

I have been to many science museums in the states and as an adult have always enjoyed them. However I'm sorry to say this one was very disappointing. I would definitely say it is not for adults, the majority of the museum was aimed at children with the exception of a photography exhibition. There were long waits between different shows... More

I love visiting the Life Centre, they always have an interesting and educational exhibition of some sort, which sets it apart from other attractions in Newcastle. I went to see the BodyWorlds exhibition with my Mum, Brother and boyfriend, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. There's something for everyone here.

This was where my daughter wanted to go on our day out. Easy to get to from the railway station. It was half term so very busy but we didn't wait long in the cue to pay & once in it wasn't too bad with the amount of people there. Toilets were a little untidy but staff were on to... More

During half term we visited the life centre as the children were free entry and made for a good day out and stop the little one getting bored. There was plenty to do, he enjoyed the 360 degree planetarium and thought the motion ride was brilliant. Lots of hands on activities and things to do. The cafe was reasonable and... More

This attraction was reasonably priced (great that during holidays my wee girl got in free) and everything was aimed at customer satisfaction!! The cafe had a super selection at half the price of some other attractions I have visited and staff very helpful. The actual centre was great fun and a mixture for all ages and entertainment for a good... More

We;ve been coming here for years and even though our girls are older now they still ask to come, there is always something new to see and explore.

My husband and I visited her on the Sunday of half term with our 4 year old and 2 year old. We were apprehensive after reading the poor reviews but we needn't have worried as we all had an excellent day. Was busy but no overly crowded. We didn't find any missing pieces from the displays as previous posters had... More

We had a day out at the Life Centre after winning a competition for a family ticket. Staff were all lovely and the children really enjoyed their day. We thought the planetarium was great, we all love anything to do with space and the youngest child really enjoyed the showing of 'Little Bear' after being too small to ride the... More
