We visited Wisley at the beginning of May and the gardens were, of course, fantastic. We found lots of inspiration and hoped to find some of the interesting plants in Wisley's own garden shop. I recently visited Wisley Gardens and stayed at a really great B&B - Birchwood house - in nearby Pyford. The room was really nice, comfortable, a good price with very nice hosts - Sue and Peter. It is located really close to Wisley, Woking and Guildford. more

Impressive gardens, glasshouse and plant centre. The weekends are often crowded - the whole facility has become a victim of its own success. The self-service cafe resembles a school canteen and charges steep prices (£4 for a sandwich and £1 for a packet of crisps). This soon mounts up when feeding a family. I recommend taking your own picnic. more
