We use this as a place to walk on a winters day or to bask in the sunshine on the good days. The house is wonderful but the grounds and gardens are to die for . We ofter bring the sunday papers and just enjoy the surround in the beautiful Surrey countryside

Love love.love this place. Go.several times a year. My boys love it as they are free to run and explore. The "tree tunnel" is fantastic and if nature spotting is great. All in all a great day out.

Went with a friend. we had coffee when we arrived. If the national trust read this could they please have skimmed milk in their restaurants as it cuts down on the calories! Also there was not a healthier option in the cake line everything was high in fat. Having said that about the catering the soup and bread were very... More

We visited the house with our young Grandchildren. We were very impressed with how child friendly it is. The children were made welcome in the house and enjoyed it. They loved the dressing up clothes and sitting on the posh chairs. They were fascinated by the wind up Gramaphone and the Blow ball table that they could use. The Gold... More

Beautiful National Trust house set in beautiful grounds. The house is a gentle 5 min walk from the car park but transport is available for the less mobile. Most of the facilities are wheelchair accessible apart from upstairs in the house. There are refreshments available near the entrance a little pricey but very tasty. Many people bring picnics and there... More

This is one of my favourite National Trust Houses, whether you are meeting a friend for coffee or lunch or attending one of the outdoor concerts or plays, it is always a lovely setting. The newly refurbished restaurant is excellent and although very popular you are not kept waiting long. there is lovely outside sheltered seating or you can stay... More

A great national trust location, friendly staff. Try to get there early and have the guided house tour. Do the other trust locations nearby in the same day.

A lovely walk around the house was marred by the food. We took a meal in the granary cafe and it was just barely warm. We complained and it could have been reheated. It left one wondering how many times food is cooled and reheated. Not nice

I haven't visited Polesden Lacey for a good 30 years, which is strange because it is certainly one of my favourite NT houses. Last time I was a member, this time, not. The purpose of the visit was to see the lovely grounds, and not the house interior this time. The house is undergoing some restoration externally and there is... More
