A good time in all, and went to the fungi foraging experience held there together with the food festival. Didn't manage to go round the whole place but would go back again.

Great and interesting stately home with expansive formal and informal gardens, and lovely walks out into the surrounding countryside.

Go when the weather is good as there is a lot of grounds/gardens to explore. We went in November so the house wasnt fully open and we had to have a tour. But the tour was very interesting. Would have liked to seen a few more rooms for the money. Only get taken to 5 rooms (including corridor), so only... More

The house and gardens are delightful with the latter leading on to wonderful wooded walks. It's great to see a place that was really lived in and the history is fascinating. If you get a good guide the place comes alive but quite quite a few of them are rather po-faced and make one feel theyd rather you weren't there!... More

This is a huge estate and both the house and grounds are very interesting. It was raining when we visited so did not look around outside very much. There are spectacular views and the house is very grand. Very knowledgeable guide took around and we were lucky as a whole coach party arrived a short time after us. Plenty of... More

Classic English countryside views from the front lawn. Good NT cafe, but busy. Nice place for a walk and it is child friendly, with frequent events laid on for children. The house itself is not the most grand in the area but its worth a look. It was a party venue for the rich and well to do between the... More

Seems like this was a swinging place between the wars! There is a fascinating house and some splendid gardens that offer tremendous views. The estate is actually huge and you could easily spend a whole day at Polesden Lacey, However be warned that the loos are only at the entrance!

We had a very atmospheric trip in fog to this beautifully kept house and garden. There was a spooky Halloween trail which I wish I had taken photos of. It was so well thought and and charged with fugu fun. The staff were all smiling, happy, polite and obviously passionate about this beautiful place. Thank you to all the keepers... More
