Set in a picturesque backdrop of Surrey lies Denbies. I met with friends for lunch in the ground floor restaurant. The food was great. However, one thing that was very noticeable was the lack of staff. It is a cafeteria - style restaurant. The food is really good BUT the service is below par. My friends and I love to... More

I booked the food and wine tasting tour for a myself and a friend. We were greeted by Mona our tour guide who was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the estate and as a bonus had a wicked sense of humour which made the tour even more enjoyable. Lovely wines and very interesting. If you book a tour ask... More

As all the National Trust houses in the area are closed in January, I decided to take my better half to Denbies one Saturday at the end of January for the classic tour and wine tasting. It was interesting to learn of the "terroir" as well as the development of English wine growing. Unfortunately, the lady who was our guide... More

We went to Denbys on Saturday afternoon winery where we had the c3pm lassic winery tour. It is amazing how much they do with so few people - 11 in the fields and just three wine makers. The guide was saying that sparkling wine can now be better than Champagne, because the climate in Britain is midler. The geology is... More

We really do find this establishment most enjoyable to visit on so many fronts, as broadly indicated above. I should also add that there is an interesting Vineyard Tour and their Veg garden/Farm Shop is well worth a visit for quality natural grown stuff, so not comparable to Supermarket usual offerings. Criticism - Shop too cluttered, noisy and pricey.

We were a group of 6 on our first Burns night celebration dinner at Denbies. On arrival we were greeted in reception and shown into the cellar for a glass of sparkling wine. We were then all summoned to the Conservatory for the meal. The room was well decorated with tent like feel with lights hanging from the roof, and... More

This was our first time visiting Denbies for Burns Night. The evening started in the cellar for a champagne reception followed by a four course meal including haggis. The wines were exceptional and so was the food. We were a party of 9 age ranging from 26 to 90. Everyone had a great evening dancing the night away with the... More

As great fans of Denbies Vineyard we were looking forward to the annual Burns supper and although many aspects were great, the food was very poor. In his own words Robert Burns would have looked down ‘with perfect scunner, on such a dinner.’ Good things… we were warmly welcomed at the door by Glen Grant in full highland attire as... More
