Beautiful views and good cake

Lots of open spaces to walk around and a great cafe to finish off with lunch or a good piece of cake. Buggy friendly in cafe as very spacious.

I came here with my husband, Denbies is short walk from Dorking train station. We started with the vineyard tour which was approx 45mins on a train around the estate we paid extra for a glass of sparkling wine it was a pleasant tour and was informative. After this we had a spot of lunch and looked around the shop... More

I visited Denbies with a Lego loving teenager in the summer holidays for what was advertised as a 'Lego and toy exhibition' held over five days with a donation for a local charity. When we arrived there were no signs directing us to the exhibition and we ended up browsing the wine estate gift shop, farm shop and art gallery.... More

This is one of the highlights Dorking has to offer. Denbies has a museum/gallery, a restaurant which has a small selection of food (although it is always very good) and a shop where you can buy the local wine and other products from home to fashion. There is also a tour, which takes you through the vineyard.

A group of us went here for a works party and the whole thing was a lack-lustre disappointment. The price was supposed to include a "splendid BBQ buffest". I don't know what a "buffest" is, but if it consists of a couple of cheap and nasty burgers and a chicken leg then I suppose this might at least count as... More

we pre booked the train ride for 2pm to see around the vineyards. It took just under an hour, interesting commentary & at the top of the hill a stop to get out if you wanted to and admire the wonderful views have a glass of their best sparkling wine and ask the guide any questions you my have about... Very commercial vineyard which is unusual for the UK and so is similar in operating style to some of the Champagne houses which their wine compete with. Tastefully done though - the tour and tasting gives the reasons as to how they do successfully compete and the train journey through the extensive vineyard is lovely when the weather is clear... We visited the wine estate on a summer day and the train tour was great. The views from the top of the hill overlooking the vineyard are breath taking. We also did the inside tour of the brewery and it was very interesting - including the wine tasting. Highly recommend it. The cafeteria isn't bad also.

Disappointing visit to the cafe at Denbies today. We popped in for a coffee and a cake and having ordered drinks and paid we were only then told that we could not sit in the lovely conservatory cafe (still full of customers) as they were trying to prepare for a wedding! The alternatives were to sit outside (chilly) or to... More

Really enjoyed our tour of vine ry that included a train ride! Very nice cellars and a well stocked giftshop with good unique selection of kitchen and wine stuff
