We have visited Denbies several times, but not for a couple of years. We have always enjoyed it, and we're excited to show our visitors an English winery. It turned out to be a huge disappointment. The tour is ok, but the wine tasting was really not up to scratch. We have done many wine tastings all over the world,... More

Never been on a vineyard tour but as a birthday gift I received both the outdoor and indoor tours. As a lover of red wine I found the tours interesting and educational just a shame it's white wine and champagne. The guides are very knowledgeable, the estate is vast and beautiful with an outstanding view of box hill. The wine... More

We took the Sparkling Outdoor Vineyard Train Tour and followed this with dinner in the Gallery Restaurant. The 50-minute outside tour takes place in a "train" of carriages pulled by a Land Rover. You get about a dozen people in each carriage and although open sided they have roll down clear screens should the weather require it. Fortunately it was... More

We took the cellar tour. Suitable for one of our party who's in a wheelchair. It was led by a highly knowledgeable posh lady who knew everything there is to know about wine. But not about how to make visitors feel relaxed..the tasting disappointed my husband as his third glass had 'run out'. He wasn't offered an alternative. However, the... More

I recently won a Red Letter Day and decided to spend it on a visit to Denbies, one of the largest privately owned wine estate in Europe. The experience included a train tour of the vineyard with panoramic views, a 360o film experience, tour of the winery, tasting, lunch for 2 and a complimentary bottle of wine - pretty good... More

We live locally and took some European visitors, who happen to be experienced teaching chefs, to visit what purports to be the largest vineyard in England. We did the outdoor tour which lasted about an hour. Apart from some nice views this was no more than a short trek up a small hillside. The content was boring with much repetition... More

Had a fantastic day exploring the vineyards and winery over the weekend.,Just a short drive or train ride from London, we were not expecting the vineyard to be so large! We did the sparkling wine train tour, followed by lunch from the conservatory on the outdoor picnic tables, a walk around the vineyards and the classic winery tour and tasting.... More

Having done Wine Tours in the southern hemisphere, this was our first in UK & it compared very favourably. The intro film was interesting, showing the year of a vine, it's just a shame the sound & pictures were slightly out of sync. Our tout guide was knowledgeable & after the film we walked the internal pathways past the many... More

Two couples enjoyed the vineyard tour with sparkling wine, through the vineyard and up into the Surrey Hills by land rover pulled train. The audio guide and the driver were very informative. The sparkling wine was very good, just a shame the one tasted wasn't available to purchase, it had be produced for Sainsburys Taste the Difference range only so... More

Quite enjoyed the Landrover pulled train ride up to the top of the estate. The recorded commentary was drowned out by people talking, mainly about the glorious views. At top some nibbles and three thimbles of wine, only the "Champagne" was at all memorable. The rose and white were very ordinary. Staff pleasant enough.
