A superb cinema with comfy seats, recliners or sofas plus an excellent rake. Very well appointed. It also has a good restaurant for light food and you can even take a glass of wine into the auditorium. I thoroughly recommend going there to watch a film whenever possible.

We love the Abbeygate Picturehouse and enjoy every time we go. The wine is a bit expensive, but the hot chocolate is lovely.

Love this place. Cosy, colourful. Really really great food too. Nice friendly staff. Good cakes. Particular favourites: sweet potato chips, burgers, salads. Lovely coffee too.

A wonderful place to watch a film. Sofa & reclining armchair seating. Plenty of films for children, with child friendly screenings (no need to keep telling the kids to be quiet). By far my most favorite visited cinema

Intimate cinema, just two screens, with restaurant attached. Luxury sofa seating or normal seats and just a lovely friendly place. Like being part of a club, membership is worthwhile, you basically get your money back after watching 3 films. Members allowed to wander into the cinema after a meal with their glass of wine, or cup of tea, lovely welcoming... More

Come to a little cinema and experience lovely food before or after. Have a drink while you watch the screen. The 2 rooms to watch the films are not enormous and there is a cosy atmosphere and a really good feeling to this little place. If in Bury for a holiday do try it out. Its worth it. We are... More

There are two cinemas in the town with Cineworld being the most popular and then the more 'up-market' cinema, the Picturehouse. Where the two differ is the atmosphere. Cineworld caters for most people which means if you don't mind being disturbed by crying children or ladish teenagers who like to voice their personal comments throughout the film, then it's a... I love this cinema. It's a great place to watch a film with comfy seats, proper staff who show you to your seats and a great selection of snacks and drinks. My favourite place in Bury.

I am not usually a film buff, whereas my wife was a regular, but I thoroughly enjoyed the comfortable seating and general ambiance. Nice snacks & drinks. Would definitely recommend to anyone who appreciates comfort and a nice welcome.

Went here for a baby shower. We had afternoon tea in the function room. It is well located and a lovely space. We had a really lovely time and I know everyone enjoyed it however there were a few things I was surprised at and I would like to comment of. We weren't greeted with much of anything really. Kind...
