This is a really fascinating tour and the guide gets across how brewing has changed through the years. Well informed, interesting and a nicely organised beer tasting at the end. Also a great opportunity to see the Theatre Royal next door

Really enjoyed the tour today - with my hubbie and 12 year old son. Guide was super, lots of info, history of the brewery and brewing. Great tasting at the end. Amazing and immaculate 'industrial ' heath robinson buildings and pipes- lots of them weaving their way around a corner of BSE - overground, underground - fascinating. Great views across... More

We had a very informative, entertaining and thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Maureen is a credit to Green King, she was considerate, knowledgable and funny. We hadn't realised what an interesting history the brewery had, also very pleased to hear they try to hold onto the history as well as be innovative. The tasting was very agreeable and we left after... More

I totally recommend the visit to the Green King Brewery! I went there with 8 friends because we were visiting Bury St. Edmunds and even we were a little hangover we really enjoyed visiting it! It's a tour for one hour in a half and the best part is at the end! You can try all the beer you want!... More

If you are visiting Bury St Edmunds, make sure to book yourselves onto the Greene King brewery tour, it really is an excellent way of spending a couple of hours and is extremely well priced. My husband and I did just this a couple of weeks ago and we were not disappointed. Our guide Henry was a wealth of knowledge... More

"Not to be missed!".... what a great title, thank you. Henry is indeed a great host, as are all our guides, and the great thing is that every tour is be slightly different, so when, hopefully, you come back to see us again, you will undoubtably learn new things... Cheers Cathy More

We visited the brewery as part of my husband's 50th birthday treat and we really enjoyed it. Very interesting and Susan was knowledgeable and also good fun. The brewery is amazing and the views across Bury are well worth the climb.

Thank you for your review, we think our brewery is pretty amazing too, and we never get tired of the wonderful view from the roof. Susan certainly is a lot of fun; she has been known to go on a bit of a pub crawl with people from her tour, and thats certainly beyond the call of duty! Cheers Cathy More

We had a tour from Maureen today and have to say it was £10 per person very well spent! We had such a laugh and found out so much about the history of the brewery and town. Even though I am from Bury I had never done this before and I wish I had! A really enjoyable time and the... More

Thank you for your great review... It is always lovely when local people come on our tours and say that they wish they had done it sooner. We have such a beautiful and interesting town and it's fantastic to show it off from the vantage point of our roof. Hope to see you at one of our events soon Cheers... More

Had a great tour with Henry. As a complete brewery ignoramus, I found it fascinating and my husband and I both thought the whole trip was very worthwhile. Really enjoyed the samples at the end - though I'm not much of a day drinker and suffered later! Really recommend and thanks Henry!

Ah Henry, our joke-meister.... If you haven't been on one of Henry's tours you are missing something very special... Henry has cornered the market in puns which he delivers beautifully. The tasting isn't compulsory, but pleased you enjoyed it! Cheers Cathy More

A diversion for the hubbies whilst the ladies insisted on shopping! Very enlightening and entertaining! Tasting the brew was magnificent...we were encouraged to try most everything!

Thanks for your review. We are very lucky in that the town centre is only 5 minutes walk from us, so when our visitors prefer shopping to tasting beer (yes, we find that difficult to understand too...) there is the option for spending some time in the shops. Cheers Cathy More

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. We learnt the history of the Greene King name and the background of its importance to the town. We had a tour of the operational brewery and were shown the various ingredients which are essential to beer making. It was made very interesting by our tour guide John, who clearly loves his role. The tour... More

Thanks for your review.... We think our tours make wonderful birthday presents... We were really lucky when John, a fomer headmaster, decided that he wanted to be brewery guide, as his knowledge and enthusiasm for our brewery, home town and beers is phenomenal...Our only problem is trying to get him to take less than 2 tours for his tours! Cheers... More
