A thoroughly absorbing two hours in the company of our excellent guide Susan - a very knowledgeable and humorous lady! Anyone visiting Bury really should take time out to do this tour as the history of the company is very interesting in addition to the actual tour itself that ends with a tasting session of many of their different ales.... Probably the most interesting brewery visit I have had. Susan our guide was very knowledgeable and had a great sence of humour. A detailed tour throughout the brewery which took over 2 hours. Most enjoyable. Oh, and the beer was great too! Thanks Susan!

The girlfriend and I were visiting bury for two days and decided to go on a brewery tour. As I work for a brewery in the west I was really interested in how Greene king make and distributed their beer. Our guide was Maureen, she was fantastic, very knowledgeable about the history, and the area. We both came away thinking... More

Visited the tour with my girlfriend, only to miss the time slot by nearly an hour due to a problem with the trains. We were expecting to be turned away, but were instead given an improptu whistlestop tour that allowed us to join the back of the main tour group in time for tasting. Was massively impressed with the customer... More

very informative. Maureen the tour guide was welcoming, and very knowledgable about the history of the brewery. Lots of open steps, not suitable for less abled people. The beer tasting afterwards was excellent, and plentiful. There was also soft drinks for those who dont partake in the delights of real ale. Greene king also make chutneys now!

We and an excellent afternoon visit to the Green King Brewery. We were shown around by Susan who was a wonderful guide. She had an extensive knowledge of beer, brewing and the brewery itself. Her tour was interesting and factual. She instilled her love of beer into all those on the tour. She knew the history of the brewery as... More

This was my second time on the tour and our guide Susan was wonderful; informative, entertaining and made the whole experience both fun and interesting. Highly recommend thus as a great way to learn about the history not just of the brewery but bury St Edmund's as well. And the beer tasting in the brewery tap at the end was... More

Brilliant and informative tour, including views over Bury from the rooftop of the building. Afterwards you go to the Brewery Tap and try the different beers. Advice: try and agree for anyone but you to be driving home! There are several tours a day, which you can book in advance online. They are VERY reasonably priced. There is also a... More

This was my first brewery visit so I was not sure what to expect, I have to say our tour guide was wonderful, funny, and knowledgable. The tour was thorough and interesting. I learnt about the brewing process and got to try many of the ingredients. The icing on the cake is the tasting session at the end where you... More
