A brewery tour starts at the Green King shop on certain days and can be booked there. You’ll hear of the history of the brewery which today has rescued a number of beer brands such as Ridley and Tolly Cobbold. You’ll also learn about the process of making beer, the role of hops and other flavourings. Our lady tour guide... More

Birthday treat from a friend so not sure of the cost. The tour was very informative. Even though I'm not really a beer drinker I found the whole experience really interesting. Finished the tour with a meal and with each course you were able to try a different beer that complimented the food. On the whole a great way to... More

Has to be the best value for money you can get, for just £10 each a super tour with lots of interesting information about the brewery and it's history and of course finding out how they make all that lovely Ale. And then into the Brewery tap to sample some (well lots actually) - i can recommend Abbot, Old Crafty... More

Paid ten pounds each to go on the Friday morning and boy was it worth it! We were a group of ten or so visitors escorted around the brewery by Susan the tour leader, and we had an extremely interesting behind the scenes look at how beer is produced and the whole history of the process. We climbed the many... More

Booked for a 10 people birthday outing, was not disappointed! The smells, the history, the sites, the views. It does truly feel like your walking through a family establishment and your welcomed with open arms, to then finish off in what felt like the family lounge to sample their private collection, and the mother of the family, well of course... This is a great little brewery tour with a small group size (about 12) and a great tour guide, Henry. This is quite a small brewery tour around a relatively old building (from the 1930s) and was great to see some of the original equipment still in use. The tour lasted the full 2 hours, and of course, the tastings... More

What a brilliant tour around the brewery, lots of history and a very amusing guide called Sue. We were taken right to the roof to witness the stunning views of Bury for ourselves. The beers are delicious, I recommend the Double Hop Monster IPS 7.2% or the Noble 5% English craft lager. Well worth a day trip
