Monkey Forest is completely unique to the UK. It is the only place that you can walk amongst 140 Barbary macaques roaming free in 60 acres of beautiful English Forest. Walking in the park transports you into a different world through close contact with the monkeys.

Had a great afternoon, the monkeys didn't disappoint. I must say the staff were very attentive and informative, you can see they enjoy their work especially they way they approached the public and tell them all about the monkeys. Perhaps it's me but the cafe did seem a little over priced but the food was nice..

We visited the Monkey Forest on 28th February, a group of 4 adults, and, we absolutely LOVED it! We weren't really sure what to expect at first, but when we headed up the hill near the entrance, the very friendly staff member told us a few of the "ground rules" and then we headed in. Down the path, we didn't... More

Had a lovely time yesterday. This is my second visit. The staff are really helpful and friendly.Considering how bitterly cold it was. Still regular feeding times and lots of monkeys around. Lots of small babies that have not seemed to have grown much since last visit. My only moans were one kiosk open and large queue and we were all... More

Thank you for your review, we are happy to hear this was your second time at Monkey Forest. The babies are still very small and are becoming more adventurous and very entertaining! The Banana Café serves a selection of homemade specials, baguettes and paninis ensuring we use the best quality local ingredients. The ¾ of a mile pathway is wheelchair... More

It's a great walk around My only disappointment is that it's all the same type of monkey and it's a bit short The monkeys were fun to watch interacting with each other but after 30 mins of finding them and then 30 mins of watching the same ones doing the same thing it became a bit samey The kids loved... Trentham Monkey Forest is home to 140 free roaming Barbary macaques that live in two separate groups within the 60 acre forest. The monkeys live just as they would in the wild, with no cages or bars, visitors are able to get an exclusive look into the lives of these fascinating monkeys, unlike anywhere in the UK. People usually spend... More

Visited with my husband and one year old. Paid £8 per adult entrance fee. Started to walk around the enclosure, was very disappointed to see that members of the public weren't able to operate the entrance gates properly with adults and children opening both sets of gates at the same time risking monkeys escaping, it's not rocket science folks!!! We... More

Thank you for your review of Trentham Monkey Forest. The 140 monkeys roam freely within the forest and can be seen in the trees on entrance to the enclosure, before reaching the large grassy area, where the monkey spend a lot of their time. This is also where our guides present the hourly feeding talks. We have 2 children’s play... More

This may seem harsh as I appreciate that this attraction is very focussed on conservation of the endangered Barbary Macaques. Although this is on part of the Trentham Estate it is, as we established later, run by a totally separate company [confusing as this and Trentham Gardens share a website]. Another word of caution is that they do not accept... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Monkey Forest is part of the Trentham Estate, however, as stated above is a separate attraction. We do feature on the Trentham Estate website as we are one of the attractions within the estate, although we do have our own Monkey Forest website. All information, including pricing and ticketing can... More

I love monkeys so was excited to visit this attraction. It's about 15 mins from stoke and cost 6 quid in a taxi. Was 29 quid for 1 adult a child and 2 students. The weather was appalling but we had no choice but to go in our taxi had gone. The monkeys are free roaming in a forest with... More

Thank you for your review, we are happy to hear you embraced the rain. The ¾ of a mile pathway is wheelchair friendly, however, there are some steeper slopes. Despite this, there are multiple benches and open areas where visitors are free to sit back and enjoy the monkey madness. We hope to see you again soon in the summer! More

After driving for 57 miles and through heavy traffic on the m6, upon arriving at the gates we were greeted by an A4 piece of paper, poorly tied to the locked metal gates, which read that due to 'bad weather' the forest had to close early today. This was around 2.30, the website stated last entry was 3pm and the... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. On this particular day, we had seen persistently bad weather all day, which therefore lead to the unusual event that monkeys started to move off to their sleeping quarters a lot earlier than normal. The decision to close the park early was not made lightly, but we want all our... More

We enjoyed a nice day out here. Monkeys are all very close so you can see lots. Just wish it was a little bigger so we could spend more time there.
