it maybe a small station, but you have access to the whole of the country from it. BINS are in the toilets not on the platforms, however the platforms are constantly cleaned.

Catering now better at Stoke railway station with a choice of two cafes. Go round the corner and along Platform 1 to find bacon butties and lovely almond croissants with good coffee!

Good coffee and nice nibbles. Not a lot to say about it, just that it is a station and you get on and off trains there. Maybe a few lively 'boutique' style shops would add to the comfort/interest factor?

The inside of the station needs a face lift. It's the outside that's it's only feature. Across the road from the North Staffs hotel a fine Victoria building about the same age,

Good bits - (1) London 90 minutes away, (2) new carpark with access from the D road (A500) (3) plenty of bus connections just outside, (4) good facilities for locking bicycles and a new bike hire place is opening and (5) the North Staffs Hotel seems to welcomes you home as you walk out of the station. Bad bits -... More

Needs a facelift, but stoke people are friendly and always have a smile to share and give. Toilets are on station and a taxi rank, you can walk to hanley centre and the park if you fancy a bit of an up hill walk.
