Nice little station, should be much more stations in the area though. Ridiculous prices in the cafe, buy elsewhere I would suggest.

The building forms part of the only formal town planning carried out in The Potteries in Victorian times, or so I understand. It is surrounded by equally lovely buildings, yet the main road cuts right through them, spoiling the effect, and making access to the station quite awkward. The station itself is classically Victorian, now operated by Virgin Rail, who... More

The station is in a really lovely old building and the architecture is quite splendid. Only a small station with two platforms. Parking charges horrendous. Drop off for the station extremely limited and always congested. The new entry and exit barriers to and from the platforms causing congestion and mayhem - installed in the foyer that is simply not big... More

Its a typical train station. Train staff are friendly and accomodating. Its best to collect your prebooked tickets during non peak hours as the queue at the Virgin counters tend to stretch on end, especially during the weekend. Has 2 nice cafes which serve decent coffee and a good selection of pastries and sandwiches for your train ride. To get... More

Nothing special, an old railway station with some modern signs, no complaints but no special comfort, no particular hardship either

I found it a bit smelly and not too nice to be around. The outside looks nice and traditional but the inside needs a total revamp overhaul. Don't think I would make the effort to go back

I seem to spend most of my working life in and out of here and this place could really do with a revamp to add some new shops and eaterys for us who visit on a number of occasions a week. At the moment I travel a lot to the north east and am sick of sausage rolls and WH... More

This is a very nice station with a lot of knowledgeable staff. It's downside however is the trains I want are almost always late and is very annoying when you are a punctual person by nature
