Proud Victorian Frontage.

Fine Victorian frontage, built in the heyday of the railways. A great feeling of the pride of the Potteries and the industrial heritage you find there.

Very nice clean station friendly staff didn't wait long good parking at the rear of the station reasonably priced. We parked for 11 hours for £8 something haha. And there's a security guard aswell.

No fuss station with good links to Manchester and London regularly. Ticket sales desk, small shop, lounge and cafe onsite are helpful. Easy access in and out of the station and plenty of parking available for a charge.

I have no problem with the station but with the staff in the pumpkin cafe, I ordered a cup of tea off a very rude man I found the tea was mainly milk so was cold and weak, I asked the gentleman of I could have a fresh one with less milk when he snapped 'I did ask you how... More

Wonderful example of a traditional train station of a bygone era. Wonderful example of a steel glazed steel roof. Obviously used to have more than one tracks running through.

A very grand building, and a very user-friendly station. Ample car parking (£8/day, but much cheaper for season ticket parking; £4/day after 10am). Choice of two coffee shops (Pumpkin and Gourmet), with Pumpkin also having a small WH Smith stand within it. Nice toilets (free) and waiting rooms. Helpful staff. First class lounge is a real treat.

Nice station with some original Victorian features. Only two main lines with a third small side line. From where I was and could see waiting for the train there are two cafes, one looked not so good, Pumpkin and the other one called the Gourmet not much better, rather grumpy character there but had a couple of coffees which were... I have been through this station many times and have always found it easy to use. I travel to and from Oxford without a change.

So the station is very easy to get to with quick access from the A500. There are 3 main car parks nearby, car park 2 is very small though with limited spaces. Parking is also expensive I stayed for just over 24 hours and it cost £16. The outside of the building is very lovely a real old style station,... More
