like most of the council run facilities I have been to in Stoke on Trent, this is no different.I really feel for the people in Stoke as the tax paying people don't get the quality facilities that they should have compared to other towns. I feel the people of Stoke should stand up to the council and get them to do... More

I live 11 miles away from stoke Library now, but I still work in Newcastle under Lyme. I would never use any other library but Stoke! Over the years I have tried other libraries in the Five Towns but none can match the service you get at Stoke Library. All the staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble for... More

This is a great place, the library is very well stocked and the staff are always helpful. If you require a book not in stock, they will get it for you and then phone you when it is available. Local history, internet and email are all for use with friendly tuition, if required. --and all free of charge.

I Love Stoke Library for the dedicated and helpful staff, who always greet you with a smile and nothing is too much trouble for them. If they don't have a copy of the book you require, they will request a copy for you, the are absolutely brilliant. Well done Stoke Library Staff. 100% brilliant service every time. Sue. B from... I always find the staff most helpful here and the library offers a wide selection of books, an Internet and printing service plus a large children's library. Good on-line service for making reservations or renewing your books. Staff have taken time to order books for me which are not held at the library.

The one in Stoke , as other posters have noted, is very modern + is also attached to local civic offices so you can claim certain benefits, pay council tax etc BUT the one in the photographs on this site is actually Hanley library (Stoke-on-Trent's main city centre library) which I actually prefer because of it's location, size (it is... I went to the library to research my family history. Its quite modern, with excellent facilities for research. The staff are helpful and friendly, its very near to town, with several eating places close by. Public transport is also close and frequent.
