What a lovely well maintained park. My parents used to bring us here in the 1960s and we love it just as much as then. I come with my grandchildren now and love the atmosphere and beautiful walks.

The park is very near me and I have visited often and in every season. The beauty is stunning and the varied textures of tree and shrub make this landscape interesting to meditate on. I've written a magical poem or two sitting in this gorgeous park!

I performed in a special event in Longton Park recently, organised by B Arts as part of the Appetite arts programme in the city. I was amazed by the size of the park and the beauty. Much better than I remember from my last visit about 10 years ago. The toilets were clean. The lake and ravine looked stunning.

Just watch where you walk, for some reason SOME of the dog owners dont scoop the poop! Take a bag of monkey nuts with you, its great fun feeding the squirrels, they are so tame!

We are regular visitors to Longton Park with our little boy. It's lovely. They have a play area for older children, a separate one for smaller children and 2 lakes to walk around. The only thing is that the toilets are at the other end of the park and are disgusting. If there was a cafe it would be perfect.

My friend and I have been taking our kids here for about 12 years we've been in all weathers, been the only ones there in frost, snow or rain. We have seen it change and the play area be revamped, its a great place to walk with prams and kids on bikes and scooters. The only down side is if you... More

I spent most of my time as a child playing in Longton Park and on my return some 60 years later I was pleased to see that it is still is being well kept, although the rowing boats are no longer on the lake it is a good day out
