We bought our two daughters (ages 10 and 16yrs) a 2hr zookeeper experience from Amazon local as a gift for Xmas. We hadn't been here before. You need to pre-book for the experiences. We went on Sunday and the experience day was 10am-12. They started with a short briefing then had to clean some of the birds of prey huts... More

Didn't expect much, but was totally blown away. What an amazing facility! Friendly staff, incredible facility looking after a random range of beautiful animals that other humans were too stupid and selfish to look after properly. Animals have great enclosures for such a small place. It's obvious that the owners and volunteers love and respect their charges. Visit if you can

We visited here late last year we found it had lots to do for the kids and also the wildlife centre was interesting as we were able to feed the animals and make a donation, the one thing I did notice was lots of the enclosures were quite dirty. The variety of activities and train was good but I did... More

We had been talking about taking our 7 and 2 year old here for a long time. We were nicely surprised by the selection of animals that they have here, you wouldn't think it from the outside. Our boys really enjoyed their time their, and add into that a park and train, they were in their element.

We popped to fletchers garden centre on Saturday afternoon. We didn't realise the wildlife centre was at the back of the garden centre but still within the grounds. It wasn't to pricey to get in, and once you had bought your ticket you could pop in as many times as you wanted. There is a good choice of animals to... More

Excellent rescue centre. Easy to access and plenty of free parking. Lots of raptors, so if interested in birds of prey well worth a visit. Other residents include Coaties, raccoons, a singing dog, a wolf dog - huge cuddly looking boy. European wild cats. Lemurs. Monkeys. A serval and a leopard cat. Oh and bats kept with meerkats. There is... More

This is a small but very well run Wildlife Centre. You wouldn't spend all day here but it is well worth a visit.

Do not be fooled by your sat nav that you are not in the right place, as the wildlife centre is behind the garden centre (you will need to walk through the garden centre to get to Gentleshaw. Excellent value for money, with only paying £4 each per adult. There are lots to see including; amphibians, reptiles owls, kestrels, peregrine... More

I bought an entrance Voucher from a third party site and I Must admit to not having heard of the centre before our visit so was unsure what to expect. It isn't a very big place but we managed to spend all afternoon wondering round and looking at the animals; going backwards and forwards between the different areas. It wasn't... More
