Good variety of birds and wildlife, and while I appreciate they need to be cared for the attraction is a touch expensive. Didn't like the reptiles, but that's a personal thing.
We booked my Father-in-law a one to one experience in bird of prey handling as an extra birthday treat. A fantastic afternoon, seeing the big smile on his face flying a Harris Hawk (Jack), and having his family around him whilst staff gave an informed talk on falconry and birds of prey. A highly recommended experience - well worth the... More
Took three children, 7, 4 and 2 for a day. Managed to keep them busy from 10:30 till 2ish. It was a fairly sunny day and so a lot of this was taken up by using the playground which contained a rabbit warren, with some lovely baby rabbits in too. The train ride was £1 a ticket and was enjoyed... More
We visited this place today after getting a Wowcher voucher and we were impressed. Really beautiful animals and the birds of prey were amazing. Unfortunately we got there too late for the display but even so just looking at the birds themselves was great. Lots of different animals there as well, a beautiful wolf dog and lots of other things... More
Finally visited after meaning to go for a long time. There were 8 of us 4 adults and 4 children and we all from the youngest (3yrs) to the oldest (65yrs) loved it. 1stly its wasn't expensive and the animals were so cute. The whole place is ran on charity contributions and they do an amazing job. We spoke to... More
This place is fantastic. Staff were friendly, amusing & definitely knew their stuff. Play park, train and animal centre well kept and clean. Kids loved it, especially flying display. Definitely going again. Everything from entrance fee to gifts in shop very reasonably priced.
Garden centre was nothing to write home about. Cafe was cleaning lots of flies on the day we visited. At £4 per adult the wildlife centre wasn't badly priced some of the animals were showing signs of boredom but most were clean although could be bigger. You have to remember most of these animals would of been put down if... More
Nice for an hour or so out and not expensive entry. You can also re-enter on your ticket that same day . Well worth the money to support this well run charity. As previous mentioned it is tucked away behind the Garden Centre (toilets and cafe in garden centre) which you have to walk through to reach the Wildlife Centre.... More
Had a lovely visit here with my parents, I thought it was only a bird of prey sanctuary (which my parents love anyway) but to my surprise there were primates, wild cats, raccoons, wolf dogs, reptiles all in addition to birds of prey. Enjoyed the visit emmensly. The volunteers were all very happy to talk about the animals and their... More
We live in Staffordshire but never knew it was there. Tucked away down a country lane. Free parking, browse the garden centre (that's a good one in its own right) and have a trundle round the little park. Pricing is reasonable and you know it goes to a god cause. If you time your visit you will get a good... More
