What a super place to visit, especially for this falconry experience. Will be returning! Ideal even for someone on their own.

I purchased an "Experience" voucher, which we used recently on a baking hot Friday afternoon. There was a small group of 3 couples and we had everything explained - in a friendly and professional manner - before the birds were brought out. The first was a beautiful Kestrel, followed by a cute Barn Owl, then a couple of raptors and... More

Really nice to take this kids for a day of easy entertainment. After being asked to babysit last minuet I found this little gem behind a garden centre. It has a great park and some lovely animals for the children to see. It isn't as big as I expected but is nice and the staff are really friendly! Highly recommend... More

We went to Gentleshaw for Fathers Day and had a lovely time. It isn't a full day, but there is plenty on offer - animals, garden centre, play area, little train and cafe. The staff were very friendly and allowed my 2 year old to stroke a skunk which was very exciting! It is all very very reasonably priced -... More

Booked the zookeepers experience for my daughters 6th birthday. She had a lovely time she helped feed and clean out the animals, and helped with exercising the barn owl and groomed saxon the wolf dog and much more. We all had a really enjoyable day. There is a train that you can ride on for a small charge of one... More

Purchased as a present for 2 adult sons via Amazon. Really wasn't expecting too much but they both loved it. The birds were great, as were the staff. It is something a bit different. I would definitely buy a Falconry lesson for someone here again. Plus if others want to go with them its very cheap admission.

Visited the centre today as part of a bird of prey experience voucher for my wife. Admission at £4 for me and £3 for the 2 kids was really good value and we spent almost the whole day there. You can come and go all day as many times as you like. It is run by volunteers and a large... More

I was pleasantly surprised with this centre. I visited with a couple of friends after eating at the nearby restaurant at Fletchers and couldn't believe the amount of animals and wildlife that we were able to see. Value for money was great. Only tip for the centre is to update the shop as it was a bit of a mess... More
