Bought this on Amazon Local for my family aged 7 to 59. Loved it! Relaxed experience cleaning owl houses, preparing food, going into the cage with a wolf dog, playing with meerkats and holding and flying owls, plus seeing lots of other animals - monkeys, turtles and snakes! Staff clearly care about their animals and their visitors. Highly recommend it.

Within the grounds of Fletchers Garden Centre, Gentleshaws is a family run haven for animals and birds of prey that others have "disgarded". The range of animals is impressive, Owls & hawks, monkeys cats, Raccoon Dogs (never heard of them before), lizards, snakes etc etc. The "family" could not be friendlier and go out of their way to make your... We visited the centre today. The staff were very friendly. I had bought the zookeeper experience for my son and his girlfriend and we bought tickets and to enter and be spectators. This centre is not a zoo a lot of the animals have been previously owned and the owners no longer want to care for the animals. First of... More

We visited the centre today not knowing what to expect. It was a fascinating visit as the birds are so well cared for and obviously loved by their keepers. It was lovely to see so many rescued birds and animals in such good condition. We loved the names given to the animals and the information written on the notices attached... More

We arrived at Gentleshaws with very little knowledge of the centre. At the admissions counter there was a poster advertising the Kids Club, so we booked our children into this and paid for ourselves to enter the centre too. Upon payment we were informed that we could leave and return as we wished throughout the day, which is always helpful... More

Have to admit that first impressions weren't favourable - it all looked a bit amateurish, but after a short while, I realised that this was most certainly not the case! The Zoo Keeper experience was bought as a gift for me and I have to say that thanks to the incredible enthusiasm of all the staff, it was a great... More

Thus far surpassed expectations, I didn't quite know what to expect but when we got here it was awesome from the start. The staff are excellent, friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Got a lot of interaction with a lot of animals and had a really fun time. Me and my partner are both grown adults and it was just as exciting... More

My son and myself had a 2 hour experience from group on voucher. Even though it rained and was a cold day, we had an amazing time. Excellent value for money. The staff were all excellent , friendly and great knowledge and passion for their work. All the animals have a sad story and have been rescued and cared for... More
