Have been visiting Gentleshaws for a few years now as we had family staying near the centre. We have always been amazed by all the animals that Gentleshaws has to offer and the staff there make you feel welcome. It is also uplifting to see how such a small place can have a big impact as most of the animals... More

Super family oriented centre with a delightful collection of rescued birds and animals. Pleasant cafe. Get the impression that the birds and animals are treated as respected visitors rather than 'exhibits'. lovely atmosphere. well worth a visit.

We visit the centre every year. It is a great rescue centre that only relies on donations. There is a variety of animals who are always clean. Not sure how people can moan at the entrance price when feeding all these animals would cost so much! We happily donate extra when at the gate amd our little one puts change... More

Gentleshaw bird of prey & wildlife centre is a great little place to spend couple of hours with young children. lots of interesting animals to see. a small gift shop selling small items aimed at children. there were a few second hand books for sale not sure a copy of 50 shades of grey should have been in there though.... Went with the extended family, expecting a half day. Apart from having to walk right through the garden centre store to get to it, the access to the site was easy to find. The animals and, particularly, the birds of prey were spectacular and very well signed, with their stories, however, the centre was much smaller than expected. There were... More

Bought a one hour Bird of Prey flying experience as a surprise present for my wife's birthday. The weather was good and whilst quite small the Wildlife Centre had a very good selection of owls and other birds of prey, as well as a number of animals. Expecting a half hour talk and then half an hour's time with the... More

After one local garden centre closed & the other changed hands, we were looking for new places to take our granddaughters aged 11 & 13 in the summer holidays. A Google search for attractions in or near Cheshire included this place. Consulting Trip Advisor & reading the reviews, we decided to try it out. Having programmed the satnav with the... More

What a find! My partner and I were looking for somewhere to stop for a leg stretch on the way home from the Wirral and came across the Gentleshaw Wildlife Centre almost by accident. It's a lovely place, full mainly of rescue birds of prey with the odd monkey and raccoon. It's not huge but the animals are stunning, and... More
