As adults we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the Caves, we had just about got over the unbelievable parking and admission fee and had a good laugh at the running commentary on the roma-phone. The Caves are spectacular and I would go again to see them. The Gorge is very beautiful and worth a walk around the allocated pathway, this takes 1/2... More

Great that dogs are allowed to this attraction! We loved all the little shops & restaurants in the surrounding area. The caves were very good but when we went on the cliff top walk, got a bit lost due to no signage. Also it is a bit overpriced!

If you are planning a day out here, you need to get there early to make the most out of it and really get your monies worth. It is a bit on the higher price scale, but we'll worth it if you fully emerge yourself. Inside the caves, I saw some breathtaking formations and it didn't somehow feel real. Amazing.... More

The majority of reviews say it all. It's OK in parts but a very expensive day out. I imagine it will continue to be over-priced for as long as people are prepared to pay! There seems to be no real overall plan - it all seems so disjointed. The ugly 70's buildings towards the top of the gorge (in the... More

Today I visited the Cheddar attractions with my husband and two teenage sons and we had a fantastic day out. Gough's cave was absolutely stunning and the self guided tour was very informative. Cox's cave and the crystal quest was a novelty and probable aimed at young children. The museum although small was very interesting and the guide on the... More

Even with our reliable sunny climate here in the UK, Cheddar Gorge and it's attractions are well well worth a visit. HINT! Buy tickets online and save 15%! Once you find somewhere to park (£5 allows for the whole day) you can then explore what the Gorge has to offer. What you should remember is that it is a tourist... More

We went as a couple so had alot of time to wander, not saying you 'can't' with a family but young below 7/8 year olds may struggle as alot of walking and factual information to take in.. The free bus trip up and back down the gorge was fab and as we were the only two on the top deck... More

Very good and interesting however slightly expensive if you don't fit the family ticket i.e. kids below 15.
