I visited the crystal place with my mum and my baby. The barman seemed pretty stressed out and got my drink wrong. I ordered the butternut squash cobbler which came with herb dumplings and bread. For £10 all I got was some cubed veg in a sauce with two rock hard savoury scones on top which we're too hard to... More

As above, pub has been recently refurbished. Staff were friendly and helpful and there was a good range of drinks, although they weren't spectacularly cheap. Food looked good but wasn't unable to try it due to time constraints. Nice covered beer/smoking garden out back and a brilliant location for exploring town.

I don't know where AG went but it seems not the same pub as us. Went for dinner during our stay in Bath. The food was well priced and very good (two of us had beef burgers) and the atmosphere was great. The service was excellent. Will definitely go back again when in Bath.

From the front it look like a small place, but in side there is plenty of space and had a great outdoor area. The staff were polite and very welcoming. Some great beers and ciders. We didn't eat there but the food looked and smelt lovely.

The pub is lovely, that's about the only positive thing you can say about the place. The food, disappointing and grossly overpriced. £10:50 for a burger and a few chips?? The service, extremely poor. 45 min wait for food to be served. The beer, average and overpriced. Come again? Probably not.

We were suggested the place by friends and decided to try it. Excellent choice! Food was great, beer nice and atmosphere outstanding. Would definitely come back if I could...

Had the 1/2 chicken which actually looked like about 1/4 of a chicken and whilst it was meant to have potatoes with it I don't believe 4 small ones count as a portion. It was overcooked to the point of crunchiness (the chicken, not the skin), and made me feel ill. This place sucks people in with its great location... More

This is one of my favourite pubs in Bath and was happy they had finally opened after a refurbishment. Chose the vegetarian meal and all I can say is it was a can of tomatoes with cooked butternut squash and dumplings you could play golf with ! Before the pub can refute this I have to say I told the... More

My friend and I walked into this pub at the end of our 7 day walk of the Cotswold Way (finished at the nearby Abbey). We were dripping wet having walked all day in the rain but the staff were unfazed and showed us to an area of the bar to dry off and enjoy some ale and food. The... More

Popped in on an overcast day in Bath and managed to catch some sun in the courtyard, which if I'm honest is a tad cramped, (ie lots of people brushing past you) but space is a premium in Bath. Now, this is not a gastropub - but - we took the Steak&Kidney pie, swapping the mash for chips - and... More
