I went here for a drink with my husband, just to try the place. We won't be returning: poor service, cheap-tasting wine served not chilled (complained), dirty table outside, lacking in atmosphere. If you are a smoker and fancy a pint and a cigarette in a centrally located pub garden after work, then this might be the place for you.... More

Booked a table for 8 o'clock for 4 after an evening in Bath, lovely meal spoilt by being unable to have a desert as when we tried to order we were told the kitchen had closed at 9. Spoilt a really good night with friends. If we had been told the kitchen was due to shut we would have ordered... More

Me and my husband came to visit Bath for the afternoon on Tuesday, and were told to go to the Crystal Palace as the service and atmosphere was fantastic! I am so glad we listened as the young barmaid serving us was lovely and very informative. She went out of her way to make sure we were happy! The beer... More

We had a meal hear at the weekend, and I suppose being a Yorkshireman, I like value for money, but did not seem to get it at this place. I ordered Sausage and mash which consisted of 2spoons of mashed potato and 3 sausages and gravy, no vegetables. It must of cost at most a pound to put on the... More

Have visited the Crystal Palace for a few drinks before heading to a restaurant but last Friday we decided to eat, and so glad we did, absolutely delicious dinner! This pub has a really nice atmosphere and I would highly recommend a visit.

My husband and I stopped in for lunch while we were in Bath to take a tour of the Roman Bath's. The Crystal Palace at first seemed a bit expensive but the atmosphere was completely stylish but also very cozy and the food was so delicious, it was worth the prices. Our waiter was helpful and pleasant. I had ordered... More

Had Sunday lunch with friends. Been here a few times over the years and like the current décor as a vast improvement over its earlier self but don't think they've got the balance right. Food - main course good and tasty but nothing special to justify nearly £15 for roast beef or £13 for roast chicken. Desert was very tasty... More

Dreadful service from the blonde sarcastic barmaid today. Rushed me and my 80 year old mum through our order then tutted when she changed her mind. Then served us on a dirty sticky table. Food average but again rushed service. Dining room also stinks of the mends toilets. Avoid this over priced over styled pub with the worst customer service.

We had not booked but tyey found us a table and brought us a free glass of bubbles each for waiting -meal was lovely and the service was excellent -traditional pub well worth a visit and right in the heart of Bath.

A lovely pub in the middle of Bath city centre, playing host to a large open fire! Cosy isn't the word! We only had drinks here! But were impressed with the setting. Great and varied drinks list. Staff are super friendly! Only thing that disappointed me was we arrived at approx 22.40pm and ordered a bottle of wine between two.... More
