My missus surprised me with an afternoon with the guys (Jay & Jake) at The West of England falconry and i didnt know what to expect when we turned up for a Hawk Walk.. When we got there we were warmly welcomed and given a good introduction and a few things to expect when flying Charlie (Our Harris Hawk for... More

Enjoyed our hawk flying experience, but were slightly disappointed we didn't get to see the owls too.

Today, we had the pleasure of meeting Jay and Mogwai the Harrison Hawk.... As practically all the other reviews express, today's experience was something 'not to miss'...I mean really 'not to miss'..... From the moment we met Jay, our learning experience began.. We began a journey of connecting with nature that will blow your mind... His love for his birds... More

Beautiful countryside, very friendly and informative handler/owner, and magestic birds up close and personal--epic! Best day out we have had in a long time. It is well worth the trip to feed, hold and touch these beautiful birds. Great way to spread conservation awareness!

Our experience with Charlie the Harris Hawk and his owner, Jay, was one of a kind, informative, and delightful. We have an 8-year-old and a 12-year-old, and they were able to participate without hesitation. Charlie was extremely well trained and Jay ensured we were all understanding of safe interaction with the hawk beforehand. We met Jay at his lovely cottage... More

Wasn't sure the weather was going to be in my favour today, and had I been on time it wouldn't have been! The traffic was terrible but despite arriving late I was still afforded the full Hawk Walk / Flying Experience. I had a great time walking with / flying the hawk and chatting to Jay. This is an experienced... More

We booked for Saturday the 19th of July, but unfortunately the weather was not in our favor: it was raining cats & dogs, with lightning and thunder. The children were really disappointed that the Hawk Walk was cancelled that day, but Jay offered us to come the next day, his regular day off. We really enjoyed the walk with him... More

Friendly, passionate and patient caretakers/falconers in rural Bath. They love their animals and it shows. "Charlie" the Harris Hawk is personable and beautiful to watch and have land on your hand and head! There is a reason they are the number one attraction in Bath. Do yourself a favor and book early to assure yourself a spot so that you... More

Spent an afternoon with Jay and Mogwai for a hawk walk, it was a fantastic fun and interesting introduction into falconry, spent a good amount of time handling the bird and really feel as though I learned the basics of flying a hawk in the time I spent with Jay! Would thoroughly recommend this opportunity to anyone!

This was by far our favorite part of our visit to Bath. Jay didn't bat an eye at us showing up late (It is a little hard to find without directions.) and proceeded to give us an unforgettable experience. After a walk through the countryside to a field surrounded by woods you get the unbelievable experience of a raptor landing... More
