This was a birthday pressie from my girlfriend, and I would recommend it to everyone. I was a bit nervous about the day, but no need to be. Mogwai was great, if a little bit mischievous when he flew off after crows for 20 minutes, but such a lovely bird that felt right at home with us, as long as... More

We found this on the internet while searching for things to do in Bath. It was a great find! You can tell Jay loves his birds. He was so very gentle with Charlie the Harris Hawk. Our son has a love for birds so booking this was a must. Jay and Charlie took us on a short 10 min walk.... More

My daughter and I were totally enthralled with Charlie's antics in the field and enjoyed every minute of the experience. The only challenge we faced was getting a taxi driver who knew where to take us, but we got there in the end, and it was totally worth it! Thanks Jay :)

Just finished the falcon walk which was just amazing. Jay was such a kind and gentle person, the birds are obviously his pride and joy. We almost had to cancel due to the October rains as it was supposed to be pouring at 12 noon so we kept in contact that day and decided the sky held up and we... More

West of England Falconry is a charity run out of a small private residence 15 minutes drive from Bath Centre. It appears the host, a sprightly grandfather by the name of ‘Jay’ has turned his hobby of falconry into a full time occupation and set up this operation to fund his rescue and rehabilitation program with the ultimate aim of... We booked our appointment over a month ago (highly recommend) before leaving the USA. I'm a history buff and I wanted to experience some medieval things. Hawking seemed perfect! We took the train to Bath and simply hopped a taxi to West England Falconry. We met the birds and heard Charlie would be coming out with us (the one famous... More

We visited Jay for a hawk walk and didn't know what to expect. He took us through the basic dos and don'ts and we set of for a short (10 minutes) and pleasant, muddy (not always, but we were forewarned) walk to the "launch pad", accompanied by Charlie, the Harrier hawk. Jay showed us the initial moves and then Charlie... More

Went of a "Hawk Walk" with my husband as a Christmas present from my sister in law. It was absolutely fantastic! I'm a bit mad about birds of prey anyway, and after a short safety briefing and a 5 minute walk to an open field I was able to fly one of the Harris Hawks, Charlie. Jay left us to... More
