Jay, thank you for this wonderful experience! You were not only great to deal with during the booking process, but you were a wonderful host and we had a fabulous time feeding and observing Mogwai (I think that's who we had). We had a great day for it too, beautiful weather. It's something that I never even thought about doing,... More

Our visit with Jay and Charlie the hawk will go down as one of the most memorable in ours lives. We took a cab to West of England Falconry from the train station. It's in a very residential/rural area. Once you get trained and outfitted off you go to a pasture to let Charlie do his thing. It was simply... More

My partner and myself were given a Hawk Walk experince as a joint Christmas present from my daughter, who knew of my interest in birds of prey. We turned up at the location a little early, but the falconer wasn't phased by this and we were able to look at some of the other beautiful birds of prey that he... More

My Wife booked the Hawk Walk for my birthday and originally she'd selected the last weekend in March. Unfortunately, the weather meant that we needed to reschedule, and we eventually visited in May (9th). The location is somewhat isolated, and there are no signs (other than when you arrive) but our GPS (which can be temperamental) took us right to... More

I convinced my London friends to visit the Falconry during my recent visit as we were spending a night in Bath. They appeased me as I learned afterwards that they initially thought I was "madder than box of frogs" to want to do this. And guess what - they had just as much fun as I did! 100 pounds got... More

Took First Great Western 0830 train from Paddington to Bath Spa. Smooth comfortable 1.5 hr journey £70 return. Train has battery charging points and wifi (only at table seats). On arrival in Bath went straight to the Roman Bath and Pump Room Museum which is just 5 min walk from the station. Very good and good value for £12. Immediately... More

Our family of four did a Hawk Walk with Jay and Mogwai in early April, and it was definitely a highlight of our vacation! The weather and scenery were beautiful, and Jay was a great educator and host. And Mogwai was very good to us! We took a cab from Bath city centre there, but discovered a biking/walking trail on... We booked with Jay the Falconer about 6 weeks before traveling. The owner Jay was very responsive and accommodating. We celebrated a very special birthday with my family which includes two teens. The Harris Falocn was majestic and beautiful to watch and feed. My 14 year old daughter quickly got over being squeamish about Charlie the falcon's diet and embraced... More

This was a last minute find and booking (less than 24 hrs), but Jay was very willing to accommodate. He is the first falconer I've found (in searching the U.S. and Europe) that is willing to let you handle the birds. It's amazing to watching a falconry display, but it's mesmerizing to be a part of it. Many thanks to... More
