We were staying in the Old Mill Hotel in Batheaston and the Pulteney Princess was our preferred method of transport to get into Bath City centre and back to our hotel. We boarded the boat at Barthampton Mill pub / restaurant, just over the Toll Bridge and enjoyed the relaxing cruise down the River Avon to the berth at Pulteney... More

Having travelled twice before on the Pulteney Princess, leaving at Bathampton and travelling into Bath I decided to do the same trip with two other grandchildren on Friday 27th June. Just to make sure the boat would be coming up as far as Bathampton and the 10.50 sailing was on, I emailed them at the beginning of the week. As... More

We boarded the boat as we were staying in Bathampton, excellent commentary guide very funny, would highly recommend £4 each much better than sitting in traffic!

Nice way to relax after your 2-hour walking tour. Sit back and watch Bath go by. Some commentary but it's mostly about enjoying the day. Good value for the money. Ryders Colorado USA

Catching the boat from Bathampton to Bath one way was certainly more relaxing than walking for more than 1 hour along the canal. It's well worth the small £4 charge (2014 prices) and includes excellent dry whit sense of humour, however for some people who's first language isn't English may not understand but it should all be taken in good... Absolutely fantastic way to spend some time in bath. Tour up to the bathampton mill on the river. Have a leisurely lunch then cruise back with a great commentary. I had a really brilliant day out with my elderly aunt and the crew were really helpful getting her settled on the boat.

We thought we would take a nice little trip along the river with some friends. After a rival boat company couldn’t wait 15 seconds for us to run across the grass to get on board, they couldn’t untie the ropes quick enough, we went with Pulteney Princess. Just like the other company they didn’t welcome us with open arms! We... More

I have taken the Pulteney Princess into Bath now more than a dozen times ...it is a MUST for all friends and family who come to visit me .. it's the most beautiful way to travel into the City, entertaining whitty commentary .... a bargain in my opinion and just super enjoyable. Title says it all. Stood in the rain for 25 mins waiting for the boat in Bathampton. It never showed up and when we rang the mobile number on the timetable it was switched off. Clearly couldn't be bothered running and didn't want to deal with phone calls. If I ran my business like this I would expect to go... More

I'm surprised to see so few reviews for this nice attraction in Bath. The Pulteney Princess was easy to find. You can see it docked right by the Pulteney bridge. Cross the bridge take the steps down to the weir. You'll have to pass a little cafe down the steps. We took the last trip from Bath to Bathhampton so... More
