We decided to take a trip down the river whilst staying in Bath. The trip lasts for 1 hour, from Bath to Bathampton. You are able to depart the boat in Bathampton and catch a later turn if you so desire. The trip down to Bathampton had a no commentary and you could just take in the trip down the... More

The 2 guys that took us on the tour were nice but the tour its self felt a bit poor. It was lacking substance. All the way to Bathampton the whole boat was silent. There was no information and no talking, we just looked in everybodys back gardens as we past. You have the option to stay in Bathampton and... More

We have often looked at the boats on the river, but never managed to get on one until today. Went from bathampton. The commentary was interesting and fun. We spotted a kingfisher on the way down and the way back - perched on a branch. We then had lunch at bathampton mill. A very relaxed morning and lunchtime.

The staff were amazing, kind and friendly. The boat was fine and everything was great, apart from the route. We didn't really see anything apart from the backs of gardens and some scrub land. It was fun and we made the most of it but it seemed a bit pointless.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Very welcoming. Colder day I was on it but in the summer would be nice to be far away from the maddening crowds. Pa system made it very difficult to hear what was being said in the commentary and really didn't manage to grasp any of it. Would suggest a new pa system. River needs... More

We went on a trip crewed by 2 gentlemen both of whom were courteous and helpful. One of them apparently has a talent for spotting kingfishers and sure enough, one was soon seen sitting on a branch over the water. Later on green woodpeckers and a heron hoved into view. The trip is obviously limited by the weirs in the... More

We were really disappointed with the river boat 'cruise' to Bathampton Mill. The couple who run the tour are well into their late 50's and totally uninterested in the passengers/tourists. The guide didn't speak to us the entire journey up the river and the way back gave really vague/dull facts about Bath, most of which we could barely hear because... More

We at the University of Bristol pre booked a trip on the Pulteney Princess from Pulteney Bridge. The crew were very helpful and flexible regarding the return journey times. We had a pleasent stop at Bathamton for lunch at Bathamton Mill and the George pub just up the road. On the way back we enjoyed a light hearted narration about... More

Previous reviews mention a boat with a rude woman, we saw her and her boat and waited for the next one. We caught the 12:00 boat on a Sunday if that helps anyone...they have a red sign for prices and a little sylvester cat toy near the tip cup near the stairs. Two lovely gents who offered a lovely experience.... More
