Our tour guide was Audrey and she had many tales to tell as we walked around the main sites. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and it was certainly an excellent way see the city, the fact it was free was a real bonus!

This was a highlight during our time in Bath. And the fact that is was free was fantastic! It was informative and hit all the main sights. I highly recommend.

The Lord Mayor's honorary guides are mainly retired people with a great knowledge and love of Bath. They have been offering these free guided walking tours for many years and yet they always manage to come across as fresh and enthusiastic. he "standard" tour takes in all the important sites of Bath, and the compact nature of the city makes... We have done many walks in many cities, usually ones you have to pay for such as the original London Walks, which are of an extremely high standard. This walk was as good, if not better, than any walk we have ever done previously. Our guide, Simon, was amazing. He really brought the city to life. we learned so much... More

2 hrs of factual fun, hosted by our 'top knotch' guide, Michael. Many stories told about how this wonderful historical City of Bath came to be, and the the people of vision who brought it to life. I would highly recommend this.

What a fantastic service provided by the city of Bath - the chance to tour the city centre for 2 hours with a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide, and all for free! (They make very clear they do not accept any form of tip or payment.) We found it an ideal way to get a feel for the layout of the... More

This was the high spot of our visit to Bath. Dan was our guide & he made the walk very interesting with lots of little stories. Our walk lasted for 2.5 hours, but is at a very easy pace. We loved it, & it gave us a real feel for the City & helped us plan the rest of our... More

There is little in life that is now free, but the Bath Mayor's Honorary Guides are just that. So much so even tips are not allowed. OK they are paid for out of Council Tax, but for a major tourist destination this one is money well spent. Two hours wandering through the city completed with a potted history is the... More

This is a 4 kilometre walking tour of old Bath by a very expert guide who tells a fascinating tale of the social history of Bath. If you only have a short time in Bath, do this, and it's completely free!!
