Our guide was really knowledgeable and made our trip to Bath so much better informed. I think her name was Julie. It was a lovely mix of history, architecture and background information. The walks start at the front of the Abbey and cover a lot of the centre of Bath. Highly recommend it. It is also free!!!

Great introduction to the city and shows how much there really is to see there. Two hours is just right and to say this is a voluntary scheme also this is excellent - please keep it up!

Earlier today I had the opportunity to take this tour. Julie was our guide and she was top notch. She shared a wealth of information about her city and she made it all interesting. She told us information in ways that were fun, yet filled with information. It was sad to have the tour end because I felt like she... More

A big thanks to Clive, our guide and a really wonderful introduction to Bath! I have paid a whole lot more, and got a whole lot less from commercial guided tours!

Our guide [Adrian] was very informative, fun and provided an insteresting tour on the history of Bath and its stunning architecture. We had a quite a few kids on our tour, most of them pretty young, unfortuately they got a bit bored - understandably - but Adrian made the time to chat and joke with them as we walked between... This is a great 2 hour walking tour of the main central attractions and architecture/ history of Bath. Provided by volunteer guides who don't accept any payment or any tips. Our guide Mike was very knowledgeable and friendly (as I'm sure they all are !!) I fully recommend this as long as you are fit enough to walk and stand... More

Went on a walking tour to find out about Baths history and our guide was very helpful. Two hours walking so maybe take water with you. We learnt a lot more than would have found on our own.

If you're in Bath for a few days this is the place to start. Our guide was brilliant, knowledgeable and informative, witty and entertaining. At the end of the tour I felt I had a good idea of Bath's history and the important places in the city. It is free and what's more they make it clear that the guides... More

It's free. I only found out about this after trying to pay for another walking tour that ended up being cancelled. It starts out at the Roman Baths and progresses around the town. There's a bit of walking over the course of two hours. Bath sits in a basin so there's quite a bit of uphill walking. That being said,... More

I'm not normally one for tours, but I felt one would be worth it in a city like Bath with its historical architecture. Our guide was excellent and we learnt so much about Bath, without ever feeling like we were being lectured to in a formal way. I would wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone who visits Bath - it will... More
