Found this on trip advisor and had a wonderful, informative tour with Phil. It was so much nicer than the usual commercialized bus tours. Walking was at a leisure pace so could be done by most. I doubt kids would appreciate it though. About 2 hours long starting at a clearly marked sign at front entrance to the pump room.... More

The Mayor's guide tour is amazing and especially considering that it is free. I guess the fact that they are voluntary guides, you can tell that they love what they do and really want to show us their beautiful city. Our tour last more than 2 hours as our guide kept showing us more things and it really shows that... More

Based on tripadvisor I tried this out with a group of friends and 3 eleven year olds. Finding this was easy and was hopeful on the first few stops, but our group was about 30-40 people and it was difficult to stand close enough to hear. Also, kids lost interest quickly, and we left the group at the Royal Crescent.

Michael guided us on our walk with enthusiasm and phenomenal knowledge. He made it very interesting and the two hours flew by. The highlights were too many to mention, but include the Assembly Rooms and the sacred spa. Tremendous tour, highly recommended. Thank you.

We had the joy of being guided by Adrian, a local policeman. His enthusiasm, humor and knowledge of Bath made this tour not only a highlight of our stay in Bath but also of our holiday in Britain, which included Canterbury, Cambridge, The Cotswolds, Salisbury and London. Unfortunately Adrian only guides on mondays. So be sure to visit Bath on... More

Fantastic FREE tour of Bath with great guides. Can't rate this enough, guide very informative and passionate about the subject. David was our guides name, he was great. Tour starts at 10.30 outside the pump room each day. Highly recommended, a must for anyone visiting the city.

Anyone visiting Bath should really take this tour. Though absolutely free and run by volunteer guides, it was much much better than any paid tour I have ever been on. The gentleman who led our tour group on a somewhat rainy Sunday was an excellent narrator and conversationalist. The tour focused on the architectural aspect and as we walked around,... More

If you are interested in the city's history and architecture take this tour! A two hour walk packed with information, very well presented by volunteer guides. It is absolutely free, if you want to give something they tell you to donate to the St John's Hospital. Never heard of it? Well, take the tour...

Brilliant, a 2 hour tour starting from the pump room that goes all round bath and its free!!!. Our guide was David ( I think) and he was great, a fountain of knowledge, takes you to places where you probably wouldn't go or know that there there. Its very popular with the tourists and there is about 3or4 groups that... More
