My friend and I decided to go on the Free walking tour of Bath and we are so glad we did! They say the best things in life are free and this really did make our wkend. We are both in our mid twenties and really felt like it catered for all ages. Carole our guide was brilliant, she kept... More

Our tour was absolutely wonderful and extremely informative. Our tour guide, John, was very good at giving us an overview of the history of Bath all while interjecting some humor to the tour. He urged us several times to drink some Bath water at the fountain in the Pump Room. We did--the water smelled very bad and tasted metallic. However,... More

Our extremely well informed guide showed us the beautiful buildings of Bath. She made history come alive as she described the important figures of Bath. One little tidbit: The expression "pin money" originates inthe 1800s. The high society ladies needed help pinning the trains of their gowns and thus paid some pin money.

Judy our wonderful guide took us back in time to the 18th century on our tour. For two lovely hours we stepped back in time and my favourite moment was imagining I was dancing in the assembly rooms. The tour really made our trip and I would highly recommend this tour.

We have been on many paid city walks but this has to be one of the best. Dann our guide was knowledgable and knew how to tell a good story. Make sure you find time to do this walk while in Bath.

Delightful, entertaining, professional and witty: Phil, the Mayor's Honorary Guide who led us in a very interesting tour of Bath. The groups are small, so hearing to the guide is not a problem. And you come to discover parts of the city you might not find on you own. Thank you for this beautiful walking tour! April 2014

The chap who took us on our tour of Bath was clearly very well versed in the city's history, which was fascinating. Unfortunately, thanks to buskers, other tour groups and traffic, it was sometimes hard to hear him. Advertised at "around two hours" our tour was actually two and a half, which, if I'm honest, was a bit too long.... More

We recently spent 2 hours with Dan our guide. He took us round on a walking tour of Bath. He was most informative and we saw sights that we would have missed out on on our own. We cannot rate this service highly enough. The guides are all volunteers and work totally without payment

This is a free walking tour of Bath which lasts for about 2 hours. It starts in front of the Roman Baths and doesn't require prior booking. The guide I had was very informative and a lovely person. She guided us around to all of the typical locations you would expect to go to in Bath, but also to places... More
