One of our favourite things we did in Bath. Volunteer guides take you on a 2 hour free tour of the city. First class knowledgable locals give you a brief history of how Bath developed. Great insight for all the other things you will see during your stay. Thank you.

This is our first time in Bath and we are so glad that we took this tour. Our guide Val was superb and gave us a lot of insight into the city's history and architecture -- we could really feel that she enjoys helping visitors know more about her city. The group that turned up seemed quite large, but they... More

We were in group taken round by Bath by Alison and it was great. We go to see a lot of the city and all the main tourist points, while at the same time learning about the history of the city itself. This is a fantastic resource in Bath - I couldn't believe that it was free! A must do... More

If you have two hours in Bath take this free walking tour. Alan was our guide an was very good in explaining the history of the city. We joined the tour as a family with 2 children aged 12 and 8. The children weren't keen initially (plus it was raining) but Alan, our guide, was very informative and told tales and showed us things which interested the boys (strangely, the chandeliers in the Assembly Rooms!) An excellent way of spending a couple of hours

Fantastic way to spend a cuppla hours - and free to boot:) Why are railings black? Why are railings the shape of a spike? Windows and chimneys for tax purposes? Bath founding fathers? Yup... covered that too There were lots of people turned up the day we were there but we split into manageable group sizes. We heard every word... More
