We have just returned from a fantastic weekend in Bath. We were recommended to do the Mayors guided walk by the Farm where we were staying. You don't have to book just turn up outside the Pump House just opposite Bath cathedral 10.30am on a Saturday it is free and the guide said they do not accept tips even though... More

We were considering a hop-on, hop-off tour but decided to do this instead. The size of Bath lends itself to a walking tour and we were able to go places that a bus would not have been able to go. The guide was excellent and informative explaining the history of Bath from pre-Roman times to the present day. The large... More

Last year I was in Bath and did a hop-on, hop-off tour. It pales in comparison to the Mayor's tour. We simply loved it. Though we were in a fairly large group, our guide spoke loudly and clearly, and we never missed a word. I had done a lot of research on Bath, but I saw and heard about places... More

The big group was split into 4 manageable groups and we didn't run into the other groups along the way. Great 2 hour tour with history, famous locations, clearly well spoken guides and it really is free as no tips are accepted. Organise to do this first and then you can visit your favorite spots afterwards. Tours start outside the... More

If you only do one thing on your trip to Bath, make it the free guided tour. I have to admit that we didn't even go into the Roman Baths on our trip (I'd been there as a child but my partner hadn't) because after the tour it just didn't feel necessary to walk around a museum dedicated to just... Guides conduct free walking tours of Central Bath every day rain and shine. Our tour guide, Susan has to be commended. She took 15 people on a brilliant tour and didn't let the rain deter her from giving us all the little details that make these types of tours so informative. We trudged through puddles and our jeans got rising... More

We started our few days in Bath with one of these free walking tours & were very glad we did. It was a lovely walk around the city and was very interesting. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, and passionate, about Bath and its history. Would definitely recommend this. More

We joined the 2 hour tour which actually took 2 1/2 hours as we were so interested and there was so much to see. Our guide, Dan, had a wealth of knowledge and was enthusiastic, friendly and entertaining. Time flew and we could have gone on for longer. I thought I knew Bath pretty well but Dan pointed out many... More

That's a perfect way to start knowing Bath. After 2h tour you know a lot about Bath and have a clear view what places you want to come back to see more of them. Tour guide we had was very nice and had great knowledge and a talent for sharing it. Also very eager to help you to set your... More

My whole family loved this tour (two teenagers, my husband, and myself.) Our tour guide was fabulous and truly made history come alive. The tour lasts about two hours and covers the history of Bath peppered with stories of the rich and famous who lived there. This tour is an excellent introduction to Bath and I'd recommend doing it first... More
