A must-do for anyone stopping over in Bath. Tour is a little upwards of two hours and takes you around the city centre, with a lot of historical tidbits for your pleasure. Guide was very engaged and seemed to relish her role. No cost for the tour.

This free guided tour is a great introduction to Bath and its fascinating 2,000+ year history, focusing especially of course on the Georgian period. Our guide was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and fun. The tour is much better than trying to do a walk on your own because you learn about the people who contributed to Bath’s prominence. You also get many... More

The Mayors Honarary guides offer a free walking tour twice a day every day of the year except Christmas Day and New Years Day whatever the weather. The guides are all local people who take you around all the major sites of the city centre with informative and interesting commentary? The tour takes 2 hours but is well worth and... More

It probably helped that it was a bright, warm day but even if it had not have been, then I still feel the guided walk would have been a worthwhile experience. Our group consisted of approx 10 people, the tour guide was knowledgeable about Bath and its history and there was plenty of opportunities on the walk to stop and... More

Had been slightly apprehensive about this - worried about potential numbers at half term and a two hour tour that might drag - but need not have worried. They'd clearly anticipated the numbers and three guides were on duty on Thursday 30th and split the large waiting group up into three more comfortably sized walking groups. What a treat the... More

Roland, our voluntary tour guide, took us throughout the city of Bath and did a thorough job explaining key points of interest and fielding all sorts of questions. It was the kind of tour that you leave truly feeling like you have been fed on the facts of history in a way that connects place together in a whole. Be... More

This tour was supposed to be a two hour tour but our volunteer guide Bob was so enthusiastic and proud of his city that it became 2 1/2 ... And not a single person dropped out because he was so phenomenally informative and entertaining. I am so glad I went on this tour because otherwise I would have wandered around... More
