Visited the Royal to see "One man two governors" aside from the fact this was a good comedy, the theatre itself was really impressive, both architecturally and in terms of the atmosphere. I really liked the semi-circular seating it did a lot to enhance the atmosphere, the location itself is also excellent with dozens of restaurants within a 100-200 meter... More

Four of us old school friends go away on an annual trip every year and we chose Bath this year. We had booked The Theatre Royal before we came away to see One Man Two Guvnors. The theatre is beautiful and decorated in rich, bold colours. We ordered our interval drinks in one of the bars which is like going... More

The Theatre Royal is small, charming, and worth the visit if you like plays. Easy to walk to from the city center.

We were extremely lucky to be the invited guests of Mallory The Jewellers for a production of One Man Two Guvnors. We started off with wine and canapés in the 1805 rooms. First time in here for me, it's brilliant, there's a bar open to the public and well worth using for pre theatre drinks. We also used this area... More

We booked only a few days in advance to see Hay Fever (terrific production and cast) for our first visit to this theatre in many, many years. Booking made by telephone and luckily we were nearby earlier in the evening so could collect our tickets before the very long queue built up in the half hour prior to the performance.... More

Brilliant, Felicity Kendall was outstanding. The Theatre has been restored and is wonderful. The Royal Circle is the best place to have a seat.
