Lovely theatre with plenty of charm. The night and the play pretty much ruined by our neighbour eating a large bag of Bombay Mix - clearly it takes ages to get through such a bag (ie 10 mins from the end) and extracting the food cannot be done quietly or with any charm. Oh yes, then there is the cleaning... More

I go to the Theatre Royal on a regular basis and still to this day get a kick from it's unique atmosphere, little wonder that it attracts some of the biggest stars to perform there.

A lovely olde world theatre in the heart of bath that has retained its original character and charm. Well worth attending a performance just for the ambience of the surroundings.

We have visited this theatre many times, to see various types of show. It is a glorious, well maintained original theatre. The seats can be a bit of a squeeze, but if you book from Row C, you get extra legroom, and it starts to rise up. The city itself is lovely, but there are many hills, surrounding the city,... More

Being relatively close to London, the Theatre Royal punches above it's weight with big name productions, and Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None stars (amongst others) Paul Nicholas, Susan Penhaligon, Fraser Hines and others from 1970s and 80s British TV. This was an excellent production, which seemed to be much enjoyed by the whole audience. The only downside to... More

Beautiful theatre! We had a seat in the stalls which was very comfortable with a great view. It's such a lovely very intimate venue. The show itself was excellent! The actors did a sterling job and had us laughing throughout. The lead male actor was superb!

The play which we went to on the 1April 2015 was excellently performed but several of those near me said that it was difficult to hear the voices of the actors - it would seem that the sound loop was either not switched on was faulty - pity, it spoilt the overall enjoyment of the evening

Gorgeous theatre just don't go to see Joseph!!! If you know the show/play is a good one it couldn't be watched in a nicer venue.
