A perfect theatre experience in a sumptuous older style.

This lovely compact theatre is so amazingly different inside. It is a beautiful horseshoe shape and there are good seats from almost everywhere.

Lovely theatre - our first visit. Shame about the production (David Suchet in 'The importance of being Earnest'. It was played like a pantomime - but the critics seem to like it. However, the theatre is a very pleasant venue.

Excellent acting. Loud and clear. Funny. Good scenery. Good seat. Upgraded today. A shame that Anita Dobson wasn't playing her part today.

Our first visit to the theatre on Thursday to see 'She stoops to conquer' with Anita Dobson. An excellent production in a lovely theatre. We were very impressed. The theatre is surrounded by eateries of all types. Tickets were £30. We hope to come back again.

The show was really good. The theatre is lovely. The drinks are expensive. Dont book the royal seat as there is little footroom. Wierd for the priciest seats!

We attended the Theatre Royal for the opening night of 'She Stops to Conquer' in July, and apart from the fact that the show was great, really enjoyed the intimate and delightful atmosphere of the place. We were sat in the Lux Royal Circle (supposedly the best seats in the house?) but as these are rather low and set back... More

We came to see "The importance of being Ernest" and were not disappointed. It's a great little theatre and we've always enjoyed the productions we've seen

Despite mny times in Bath, this was my first visit to the Theatre Royal. I knew it to be a historic buildin but was struck by the beauty of the auditorium. The seat pitches are quite generous and the sightlines, even from the upper tier, Grand Gallery, are good. They have a varied programme including both pre- and post London... More

Saw The Mother at the Ustinov theatre, which is part of the Theatre Royal. It's the smallest theatre I've been to and perfect for such intimate plays. Seats are a little firm but a generous seating space. Ticket prices - £19.50 to see a great play starring Gina McKee - tremendous value for money

We had booked seats to see The Importance of being Earnest. I booked seats via the Internet which was very easy with a good seating plan available showing such things as where the pillars are that would restrict your view. An app was also available for interval drinks to be ordered with a small discount available. Note - the bar... More
