Lovely walk along the river seven dotted with benches along the way, great place from young to old, a lovely modern play area for children and masses of area for ball games, picnics, etc. The flower garden has to be the most spectacular garden in britain! Breathtakingly stunning! More than fit for royalty.

Having grown up in Shrewsbury and being born within a stone's throw of the park, I have grown up with it. It is a wonderful open space on the banks of the river Severn. It is very peaceful and has the added bonus of The Dingle, a garden area designed and maintained for many years by Percy Thrower

Great venue for an outdoor concert. Take your pic-nic and camping chairs. Relaxed, good facilities and great view.

We only went to the park during the day as we were going there on the evening to see Jools Holland and just wanted to see where we had to go. The park was beautiful so much space for people to enjoy and riverside walks as the river runs through it. I wish we'd had more time to properly explore... More

We recently visited the quarry park in Shrewsbury. It,s quite a large open space surrounded by the glorious river severn. You will undoubtedly see the river cruiser Sabrina passing on one of her hourly cruises the passengers waving to all the people strolling leisurely around the park.In the centre of the park there is a slightly lowered area of the most beautifull... Lovely park close to the river, stroll along the river bank, have a picnic or just relax by the beautiful flower garden in the Dingle. Plenty to see and do.

Well Percy certainly knew how to landscape such a small area and make it interesting all the way round. It was just coming into bloom and was maintained very well. A lovely setting in the middle of the larger park, very busy but well worth a look!

The is a very nice open park close to the river and the centre of Shrewsbury. It has a children's play park, swimming pool, and a nice garden/pond area called the Dingle. There is masses of space to picnic, stroll along the riverside, or just sit and watch the world go by. Some nice restaurants, plus river trips available near... More

This is a very spacious park, with the river running along the side. Great for picnics. The town makes good use of it for their flower show and events. The garden that Percy Thrower designed had just been planted up, it will look stunning in a month's time.
