Had a guide tour by coach and an on board commentary Really love Shrewsbury and it has much to offer in 'black and white' Tudor style buildings. Photographers paradise. Impressive town centre, but do take your street map, when you wander off

This is a traditional park garden. Many park gardens throughout the country have disappeared over the years due to local authorities reducing gardening staff. However, this garden is well maintained and although we have just been in November it was stunningly maintained and they clearly change the variety of flowers throughout the seasons. There are great attractive walks along the... More

As many have said, this is a very beautiful place with something for everyone. There is enough room for children to enjoy a run around and lots of benches for a quiet sit and relax. The ornamental gardens are a must, 'hidden' in the centre with so much to enjoy

This park is spacious and beautiful and set on the banks of the river Severn. The Dingle (the home of one of the most beautiful public gardens in England, in my opinion) is great for reflection or relaxation and everywhere else is great for anything from a picnic, to a football game to just a chat with friends. The park... More

Set on the river banks of Shrewsbury, I found this to be a lovely place for a mid afternoon stroll. Followed by a short sit down with my partner.

The Quarry park is a beautiful open green park for all the family to enjoy. I have been there on plenty of occasions with my other half, with family and to walk the dog. You can have a picnic, visit the beautiful flower garden, or walk along the length of the park and carry on along the river for a... More

The Quarry Park is one of Shrewsburys finest assets and the Dingle is the jewel in it's crown especially in August when it is at it's best for the famous Flower Show

The Quarry is one of the reasons we moved to Shrewsbury. It is a beautifully preserved open space alone the river Seven. A riverside walk and in the summer lots of events from pop concerts to annual flower show. It is the heart of the Shrewsbury community and where you can bump into people and just have a chat! The... The Quarry is a large (29 acres) area of mostly managed parkland sandwiched between the town and the river Severn. Approaching 300 years old, the Quarry is used for various functions during the year, including the famous Flower Show and the occasional concert (Status Quo, Jools Holland to name but two). Within the park lies the Dingle, a beautiful oasis... More

A wonderful mix of river, gardens and open fields. So beautiful and great dog walking area too. There is a children's playground and if you like to sit by the river and have a drink or food, go to the Boathouse Inn just across the bridge....dogs welcome in the garden.
