Lovely to walk along the river and to go into the dingle - not such a fan of the victorian multicoloured planting, thought it is definately high impact , love the walk round the water, lovely variety of plants and each year there are very cute ducklings. plenty places to sit too

The park is beautiful, immaculately maintained. We were lucky enough to have some winter sunshine which made it even more enjoyable. The quarry is quite a sun trap.

There's a lovely section of the park for little ones - which is fenced off from the main park. Swings and climbing frames and a roundabout, lots to keep them amused! Ice cream van parked in close proximity though so beware the pester power for a lolly... The main park follows the path of the river, and is a delightful... More

Having lived in Shrewsbury for over 15 years, the Quarry in town is also a great pleasure to visit. Over the years there have been many more events in the Quarry and it is such a vocal point for the town. The Dingle shows why we are consistent winners of Britain in Bloom year on year - the dedication of... More

Every time I visit the town centre, I try to walk through the Quarry. Its great to see it used by a whole range of visitors. There never seems to be a mess and given the amount of dog owners who use it, this a bonus - never see any signs of fouling. Strolling along the path alongside the Severn... More

Had a guide tour by coach and an on board commentary Really love Shrewsbury and it has much to offer in 'black and white' Tudor style buildings. Photographers paradise. Impressive town centre, but do take your street map, when you wander off

This is a traditional park garden. Many park gardens throughout the country have disappeared over the years due to local authorities reducing gardening staff. However, this garden is well maintained and although we have just been in November it was stunningly maintained and they clearly change the variety of flowers throughout the seasons. There are great attractive walks along the... More
