What a wonderful open area. Bordered on one side by the River Severn and opposite, St Chads Church, where the grave of Ebeneezer Scrouge, from the film of the book 'A Christmas Carol' by Charles Dickens can be found in the graveyard, to further down the town centre, two attractions in addition are a well maintained children's playground to, in... At the centre of Shrewsbury is the beautiful Quarry, with its river side walks, beautiful, well kept gardens, and the family park. Well worth a visit. If you carry on alongside the river you will also see a good selection of restaurants and pubs offering a wide range of top quality food and drink.

Great place and one of the must visit place when you come to Shrewsbury. Wonderful flower garden. I wonder if they are planting tulips in Spring. If so, it will be much more awesome. The best thing about this garden is, it is FREE admission. You will need to pay for a ticket if only you would like to take... More

Simply stunning little dell in the middle of a park, in a town centre, sit and feed the ducks by the statue of the river goddess Sabrina (not bread it harms them) just relax on a bench read a book and let the day waste away

We go to Shrewsbury a lot and visit the quarry once in a while as the garden is always spectacular. I am not much of a gardener but I can appreciate the amount of effort taken to create such a great garden. If you are in Shrewsbury it's worth taking a walk round as you will not be disappointed.
