I commend the Wildlife Trust for the gem on natural history they have established so close tom the city centre. Educationalist and naturalist must delighted that in such a small area it is crammed full of wonderful displays, information and natural gardens. Thanks for the opportunity to share this gem.

A nice little place, not entirely sure what all the rooms are used for. The little walled garden is well maintained with lots of places to sit and eat your sandwich's, offering a lovely free space to sit during the day after a busy time in the town. There's a little shop with great things to buy, ceramics, books, bird... More

Small centre, but lots of info about local wildlife trusts and conservation. Good garden with lots of small trails for children to find out about wildlife and plants. Good activities for younger children on selected days.

Don't fail to cross the road to get to the Wildlife Trust gardens and shop if you are visiting the historic Shrewsbury Abbey. Sit around the little fountain, and experience some peace away from the other tourists.
