Our visit was booked as a special birthday present and was certainty a most memorable event. The walk was extremely well organised and everyone had a chance to experience the hawk flying on to their gloved arm and taking food before he swooped away again. All the members of staff are very knowledgeable and obviously love working with these amazing... More

I was bought this activity as a gift. Having always been fascinated by the falconers art and birds of prey it was enlightening walking with and flying the beautiful Harris Hawk.

It's the most incredible feeling having one of the hawks fly towards you and land on your arm. Anyone who is unsure about birds or fear this may be an anxious experience, do not be alarmed. I was surprised how gentle the hawks were and any worries I had beforehand disappeared in an instant! Aswell as breath taking scenery you... More

My fiancé and I were given a voucher for 'Hawks on Walks' for Christmas. We expected to be herded in a grip but instead were the only ones! We wandered through the woods while the harris hawk flew from our gloves to the trees and back again. Once we were back at Battlefield there were numbers other birds to look... More

Excellent value for money - we had a lovely walk for a couple of hours with a hawk, and got to see it hunting. We also got to meet a couple of delightful owls too! Very much recommended, although I suggest you wear a TON of insect repellent as I was savaged by horseflies even though I was wearing long... More

Wow! I expected to learn a lot about Oscar, our companion Harris Hawk, but not in such an entertaining and interactive way. The area was explained, the bird, it's nature and history too. The staff are very friendly and knowledgable and the centre itself is interesting for a visit in it's own right. Getting to handle the "trainee" kestrel was... More

Had a great time today at the Hawk walk. It exceeded our expectations and others that were there too. Very friendly staff. Beautiful birds. A real hands on experience. It could not be faulted in any way. Well done!
