Loved all the history but felt it was lacking in atmosphere somehow. More on Darwin would have been welcome.

Everyone should visit this place. Its not just for tourists to get information. Upstairs is the Museum with some treasures. The building is amazing. One of Shrewsburys gems.

We had a lovely day out in Shrewsbury! We started out by train and visited the museum first. It was very interesting and the views from the tower were spectacular! The flowers were gorgeous! There was a wedding party expected and it was a lovely sunny day for it!

I have started to become interested in Shrewsbury and this is a wonderful place to spend a few hours looking at the exhibits to gain a bit of knowledge of the historic town. Everything is nice and clean and the building itself is stunning and a terrific example of an ancient timber framed building. Definitely worth a visit.

Most helpful and the walking tour was excellent. Signs leading to the Rowley's House Museum made it easy to find.

My husband and I decided to spend a day of our visit to the U.K. in Shrewsbury. I have always loved the George C. Scott version of Dickens "A Christmas Carol" and have long dreamed of visiting this lovely town, where the production was filmed and made arrangments for a tour through the Rowley House Museum. Our tour guide, Stan,... More
