My husband and I booked the 12noon boat trip on a Saturday whilst staying near to Shrewsbury. The boat left on time and we enjoyed a slow cruise up to the English bridge taking in the scenery. On the way back towards the Welsh bridge the captain gives a commentary of the buildings/bridges and history of Shrewsbury. Very educational and... More

Only 5 on this trip but still most enjoyable. Departed from Victoria Quay, cruised round to English Bridge. 20 minutes in each direction with an informative and light-hearted commentary on the return.

The day may have been chilly but we were given a warm welcome and given cosy blankets to put around us to keep warm. An interesting, informative narrative by the Captain as we passed so many historical sights along the journey kept us entertained as we travelled along between the bridges of Shrewsbury. Definitely worth a trip.

went down the river on the sabrina, last friday with four friends. The commentary was informative and we saw more from the river of the churches and other land marks, than you do from walking round the town...lovely cup of coffee, too. A very reasonable price for a very pleasant trip

A really nice boat where you can have a drink while listening to the interesting commentary about the local sights as you are taken from the Welsh Bridge to the English bridge and back. We sat upstairs to have a better view, really lovely people running the trips too.

The extremely helpful staff on the boat helped us with getting 3 individuals in wheelchairs onto the boat and made sure they enjoyed it just as much as everyone else. brilliant sight seeing, funny commentary, very informative. would definitely recommend.

Friendly and informative staff resulted in a worthwhile interlude on a cold but dry day. A great way to see and learn more of the history of Shrewsbury and the river. Booking via the Tourist Information Centre beforehand gives a 10% discount and, is is said, quicker access to the boat when there is a queue.

A little bit of ShrOOSbury history delivered with humour and charm. Sat top deck, a bit chilly in March. Table service was prompt and efficient. Nature of the beast is restricted by two bridges such that tour is a little (too) short alas. Also, no narrative given on the "up leg" of the trip, bit puzzling. Plenty of interaction with... More

We spent a lovely hour on the boat today. My mother in law is in a wheelchair and access was fine. We really enjoyed having a nice cup of tea and looking at all the sights while the captain told us about the history of the place. I'd recommend this trip to anyone visiting Shrewsbury!
