Brilliant location, easy access, very simple to pick up tickets for show. Prices expensive but this is expected. BBC commentary audio costs £10 each which in my opinion is necessary! Malteasers and chocolate sharing packet costs £3. Tea and coffee costs £2.75 each. Great day out :)

We went to see a gig put on by Sheffield Jazz in The Studio. The act was The Marius Neset Quintet. It was a thrilling bravura performance. The floor space was a little cramped for an act that size but jazz audiences tend not to mind things like that. This is one of several gigs I've been to there and... More

This is a fine theatre with an excellent company. We saw a matinee with good seats at £16 each - amazing value!

Although most people outside Sheffield will know the crucible from the world snooker championships for as long as anybody remembers, there is much more to the place. The Crucible won the 2014 Regional Theatre of the year and it is easy to see why. They put on their own shows which go on to national tours. The place is small... More

Watching a performance at the Crucible is a real joy. Wherever you sit, you get a great view and in the case of drama productions, the thrust stage allows you to feel a real part of the action. Seats are well spaced giving much more leg room than is the case in older establishments. The concourse is sufficiently big to... More

This is a very good production of the famous musical by Cole Porter, with lots of well-known songs. The set was very clever and despite the 180 degree seating around the Crucible stage, we were able to see everything. The show was very entertaining with plenty of humour and some very accomplished singing and dancing. The only downside is I'm... More

Visited the Crucible yesterday evening to watch the annual musical, this year being 'Anything Goes' There were six of us in the party. An outstanding cast, a brilliant atmosphere and an overall production that was enchanting and heart warming in equal measure. Has to be the top attraction in Sheffield. Cannot wait for next years endeavours to be announced so... More
