Went to watch Blasted in the studio. Loved the theatre! Good view, good lighting and the stage was fantastic! :D

Watching a performance at the Crucible is a real joy. Wherever you sit, you get a great view and in the case of drama productions, the thrust stage allows you to feel a real part of the action. Seats are well spaced giving much more leg room than is the case in older establishments. The concourse is sufficiently big to... More

This is a very good production of the famous musical by Cole Porter, with lots of well-known songs. The set was very clever and despite the 180 degree seating around the Crucible stage, we were able to see everything. The show was very entertaining with plenty of humour and some very accomplished singing and dancing. The only downside is I'm... More

Visited the Crucible yesterday evening to watch the annual musical, this year being 'Anything Goes' There were six of us in the party. An outstanding cast, a brilliant atmosphere and an overall production that was enchanting and heart warming in equal measure. Has to be the top attraction in Sheffield. Cannot wait for next years endeavours to be announced so... More

Many magic moments have been plotted and delivered in this iconic building so as to make Sheffield a production powerhouse that rivals the capital. I lost count of how many great shows I saw in a theatre that was brought into the 21st century with a massive makeover a few years back and hasn't looked back. Great programming and a... More

This theatre is right in the middle of Sheffield, so parking for the length of time one needs is expensive. The theatre has a small cafe with limited space and menus (we got there an hour before the performance and they had run out of various things already). However, the staff at the cafe were very pleasant. Toilets were very... More

We went on the pre production night, I think it is a last rehearsal, a few weeks ago. As has been said, the story is an excuse for the song and dance routines which were real entertainment and so very well done. Mass tap dancing was something I hadn't seen before - very powerful. I admired the 'theatre ingredient', how... More

Went to the Crucible to watch the stage production of 'Anything Goes', we do enjoy musicals but knew this was a small theatre, so went along not expecting too much. How wrong can you be. The show was fabulous, the cast tremendous and the closeness to the stage in a small theatre was a real treat. The song and dance... More

Great production of the Cole Porter musical, with an amazing set, and Directed by West End famed Daniel Evans. Was unsure when booking, but it was the best visit we've made to a Theatre for a long time. Lots of humour, great singing and dancing.
