It can get very busy with students on a warm day, but it is very well-kept and clean. The museum cafe is very good. Probably not sensible to walk through late at night, but the main paths are well-lit and the gates always unlocked.

we visited with our 8 year old daughter, on the way in we got some activity sheets that were free and you had to find things as you went round the museum which my daughter loved, there are loads of things to do as you go round and time just flew. There is a café but we found it quite... More

Nice to have lunch, bbq or play a group game. Fantastic in the summer and great to walk/run during the rest of the year.

Love it! Soo much to see & do. New regular exhibitions that are interactive, to encourage children to play. Great for families, couples, schools, just about anyone of any age, to be honest. In winter a great place to spend a day whilst in summer months you can go outside and enjoy the park that surrounds the museum and buy... More

I took my 5 & 8 yr old boys in half term, they loved it and both got something different out of it. I found it really interesting and lots of interactive stuff for them. I would recommend for ages 4 upwards, there were groups of all ages. Good facilities too. We had tea & cake in the cafe which... More

The weather forecast looked a bit Iffy, as we had the grand kids for the weekend, decided a trip in to Sheffield was in order. We parked at meadowhall park & ride, caught the tram to the university. A steady walk uphill to Weston Park. Entrance is free, donations box in entrance. we decided as it was near lunch time... More

Always new and changing exhibits as well as the usual fixtures, the timeless Sheffield section that can not be missed! Free entry which is always good and close to public transport links. School trips , family visits or just to pass an hour or 2. Worth a look!
