The beautiful city parks in Sheffield have made it one of the " greenest " cites in Europe. Weston Park is one of those green spaces designed as " gardenesque" with winding paths, extensive lawns, trees, flower beds and a bandstand. With a first rate museum, telling Sheffield's story, Weston Park is not to be missed!

Great park for a picnic with lots of open space, good view of the Arts Tower, duck pond, usually an ice cream van and then there is Western Park Museum which is well worth the visit

Popped in today with my 5 yr old. Not been for a year. So much potential but in the end disappointing. Lots of exhibits for kids were either missing or not working. I know it gets busy and little hands are playing with stuff all the time but come on. Everything should be in working order. The Aectic area looks... More

Another jewel of a museum in Sheffield. We went to see the exhibit on Sheffield people in the First World War - which was excellent. There is so much more to the museum as well and they have gone out of their way to present the history (social, economic, industrial, and natural) in a child friendly way. The museum seems... More

It can get very busy with students on a warm day, but it is very well-kept and clean. The museum cafe is very good. Probably not sensible to walk through late at night, but the main paths are well-lit and the gates always unlocked.

we visited with our 8 year old daughter, on the way in we got some activity sheets that were free and you had to find things as you went round the museum which my daughter loved, there are loads of things to do as you go round and time just flew. There is a café but we found it quite... More

Nice to have lunch, bbq or play a group game. Fantastic in the summer and great to walk/run during the rest of the year.

Love it! Soo much to see & do. New regular exhibitions that are interactive, to encourage children to play. Great for families, couples, schools, just about anyone of any age, to be honest. In winter a great place to spend a day whilst in summer months you can go outside and enjoy the park that surrounds the museum and buy... More

I took my 5 & 8 yr old boys in half term, they loved it and both got something different out of it. I found it really interesting and lots of interactive stuff for them. I would recommend for ages 4 upwards, there were groups of all ages. Good facilities too. We had tea & cake in the cafe which... More
