Excellent value for money. Fun day out with the kids. Would have stayed longer but it was too cold. Looking forward to going back in the Summer when we will be spending the whole day there.

Brilliant place for children to learn about the nature and its animals and insects. Good variety of insects and other animals including some meercats. Falconry display was good - you do need to sit still and feel the flacon swoosh past you (you can literally feel the draft is flies past inches from your head). Great time for all

Stopped off to break up a long journey north and was so pleased I did. There's so much to see and the enclosures are well designed and clean. Could have stayed in the butterfly house all day because it was so tranquil with beautiful birds flying around, an iguana basking under a sun lamp, as well as the beautiful butterflies.... More

We always have a lovely time at the Tropical Butterfly House. It is very easy to get to as is not far from the motorway, but we are lucky enough to live near by.There is a lovely outdoor trail to follow where you can get to see the the meercats and parrots etc. Later along the trail is the farm... I had visited the butterfly house as a child with my parents, it had always stuck in my mind how lovely it was! We visited in May for my partners birthday, and I can't believe how much it has expanded :) he even got to have a go with holding an owl. Sadly we didn't get chance to try out... More

Went on a bitterly cold January day but wrapped up and throughly enjoyed ourselves. Advertised as Butterfly house but this place is so much more than that. They have a selection of birds in really well thought out enclosures, Meerkats, tortoise, otters, a small petting area and of course the butterfly enclosure. There is a small cafe and finally a... what a wonderful day out whatever the season. There's something for all ages, butterflies, bats and birds, spiders, snakes and sleeping owls, meerkats, mice and molluscs, Hawks, hens and hissing snakes. There are reptiles of all shapes and sizes and many more animals than I have the space to write about. A very nice cafe for a convenient snack or... More

We wanted to do something nice for our daughter's second birthday, but outdoor activities are limited because it's so cold at this time of year! This place was brilliant for our purpose because we could explore outside, and then keep popping back in the butterfly house when we got cold. We were so relieved to find this place- we've found...
