We went there with our grandchildren & we all had a great day. Plenty to do & see, reasonably priced & well organised. The staff were very friendly & efficient as were the animals & birds. Highly recommended, we shall go again.

Our small band of snappers "The Peggers" visited here last year and what a great day we had. Butterflies all around us to photograph. There are other creatures to see which would interest the family but the Butterfly house is the star attraction and If you can stand the humidity in the tropical house it's well worth a trip out....

You get exactly what you pay for. There is a pla area for children and a café and shops. They have feeding displays and shows for people to interact with the animals. My partner and I decided to go see the bird display. I was amazed, they taught parrots and other animals little tricks such as collecting money from our... More

I spent a couple of hours here with my four year old son whilst my daughter attended a party here. Some good touches but there's not much to do or look at and so the the last of the two hours dragged and I ended up sat waiting for her to finish. Not sure I'd have been delighted to have... More

Amazing place, dont think you could get a day out of it, but for half day its got plenty to offer, if your travelling fill your time with the rest of the day at rother valley country park. Pricing was fair, i went with my 17 yr old daughter and my other 3 kids all under 16 and at £40,... More

This is a brilliant place with lots to do and see. The live shows/feeding times are great, they are informative for adults but also fun for kids. There is lots to see and do and you can easily spend a full day here.

Decided to go here as it was classed as #2 in Sheffield for attractions on TripAdvisor. Took us approx 45 mins from Derby and got there just as it opened. Plenty of car parking and access was pretty easy. Cost us approx £29 with food for the animals for 2 adults and a child. The place was well set out... More

Overpriced and over rated, the staff were rude and disinterested, the animals and birds were ok but not enough there to warrant the excessive entry price, cafe was extortionate, you could have as much fun visiting the local park.

A well laid out venue which allowed for each area to be a surprise as you walked round. The Lemur enclosure was the highlight (opened by Barry Chuckle!) and we visited this area twice to watch them leap about on the plants and each other. There are lots of other interesting animals to look at from chickens to Meerkats, Owls... More

Visited with our daughter and two and a half year old grandson who was completely absorbed by the displays and activities.Enjoyed being terrified by the "lion in a box" and had a great time trying the cars in the play area.Entrance fees are on the high side but well worth a visit.
