These gardens are so much more than they were designed for, absolutely stunning and a must visit when in Sheffield. So popular with everyone across the age spectrum, money really has been spent well here to make such a gorgeous place.

The sun was shining on bank holiday week end, families brought their kids to play in the fountains, it was great fun for them. They were definitely enjoying the combination of sun, water and grass!

set right at the side of the town hall, the peace gardens are lovely during the day with the dancing water display, but when it goes dark they become magical with the lighting effects, there are a few nice bistro type bars and places to eat or sit outdoors, and eat and drink el fresco quite a nice area

Beautiful by day and night. Combination of steel and water are so apt for a city that was built on steel and many rivers.

A lovely place to sit for a while to eat your lunch or just have a break from shopping. Children love to play in the fountains on sunny days. The water features by the steps are lovely. Gardens are well kept and security is good.

It's a nice place to go and see some grass in Sheffield city center, a good spot for a little picnic or to take the kids in warm weather to play in the fountains.

This is classically Sheffield. Most towns don't hav peace gardens because most towns are not political in the way Sheffield is. While the peace gardens may not work (pick your current war), at least there is a recognition that it should.
