A lovely place to sit and relax for a while, bet the water fountain is a real hit with children in the summer.

It is a nice place to go on a sunny day even though it can get busy. It's even nice when they do Sheffield by the seaside which is fun for kids. It's a popular place for people to relax with friends. We walked through and it was full of European migrants whose small children were in the fountains in December! A group of young lads came over and were chatting to us but one then tried to pick pocket my partner! As we had realized what they were up to they walked off swearing at us. I was scared and will... Saw the Cocacola truck here, it was all lit up and the kids loved it. We've been here loads of times and it's always a place to try to relax on a lunchtime, or let the kids run through the water fountains.

Right in the centre of Sheffield next to the Town Hall and the Theatres. A fantastic afternoon looking round.

busy place good for photos plenty of places to eat but you can sit down in the garden area near the fountains and water features fantastic old town hall in st Pauls square

This could be an oasis of peace in the city centre, but slightly spoilt by the close surroundings, especially a certain large chain coffee shop which looked quite run down
