The peace gardens is a massive hit with people visiting the city centre, there are fountains, grass and benches for seating. They also host a great market as part of the German Christmas Market!

I used to work close by to the Peace Gardens and often came here to eat my lunch on a sunny afternoon watching people run through the water sprays. It's central to the city so you can't miss it. Definitely a spot to people watch too.

Set in the town centre it is a beautiful retreat to sit and enjoy the water displays and nicely presented grassed areas. Very busy during school holidays but the sound of children laughing and enjoying themselves is a real treat .

I loved the water features in and around the gardens, it is so calm even when full of people. For such a small area, they have made it lovely. Because it is set lower than the road, you don't notice what is going on, but once you come out of the gardens, you are amongst the city shops and buildings.

Lovely area in city centre to stop a while and enjoy. Lots of seating and very relaxing to just sit and watch the world go by in beautiful surroundings.

What could be better than to spend a while, sitting in peace, away from the hustle and bustle of the city while still being in the centre . . . calming water falls and dancing waters . . . wonderful.
