I went through here today to get a sense of another side of the city - though it is still early spring in terms of blooms, the daffodils were stubbornly waving in the wind. The wildlife in terms of the birds and squirrels were also pretty entertaining. I would love to come back in high summer to see all the... More

Lots to do, a plesant walk, good cafe, interesting hot houses. We have seen a few summer shows here too and enjoyed them very much, even in the rain 😊

The gardens are well laid out and maintained by staff and volunteers. The hot house is magnificent and was renovated as a Millenium Funded project. Lots of space and benches to sit and watch the world go by.

A tranquil oasis which has benefitted hugely from the efforts of thevolunteer supporters and the wonderful gardeners there. The renovations of the Victorian temperate houses are fantastic. I still miss the parrot who was renowned for swearing and stolen thirty years ago! The cafe is worth a visit .

I love Sheffield but was unaware of the full extent of the gardens until recent visit. Certainly worth a visit.

Not knowing anything about the Botanical Gardens, we decided to stop by and have a quick look and given our lack of expectation - it was an unexpected pleasure! Clearly the time to go was summer when everything will be in bloom - but there was sufficient of interest to pass a pleasant couple of hours. The Botanical Garden itself... More

The glass tropical house is spectacular. Beautiful and warm all year round. Nice place to relax. Loads of space to have picnic and friendly squirrels running around everywhere
