Well maintained Garden with great cafe

I met at the gardens for a chat and stroll about and was very impressed with the spring planting. The café was welcoming and served tasty reasonably priced food too!

We often enjoy a stroll up to the Botanical Gardens and spend time meandering through the gardens and 'hot house' Have never been whilst an event is taking place, however, I hear they are great. I find it a beautiful haven within the busy city.

This is a beautifully restored Victorian garden with wonderful borders full of labelled plants and many winding paths to explore . There is a nice cafe at the top entrance and many lively tame little squirrels to entertain the children . A lovely place for a stroll on a sunny afternoon Oh and ice cream van outside the gate

It is lovely to walk around these tranquil and well kept gardens in any season the floral displays are wonderful and you can enjoy a picnic on the lawns. Spend some time in the restored tropical greenhouses and visit the bear pit and stroke the bear, (Its a sculpter) and on the way out call and visit the well stocked... More

Me and my partner regularly visit the botanicals. Whether it's summer or winter it's always a delight on the senses. Massive variety of trees and plants which are all labelled for easy recognition. The gardens are buzzing with life and it's always good fun having a walk around. A good proper free day out

The Botanical Gardens in Sheffield are really nice for a sunny day of relaxing in the park. There is an ice cream van at the top of the park and a Tesco at the bottom. Also Ecclesall and Hunters Bar are not far either for those who fancy a subsequent visit to the pub.

We went for a morning walk after seeing the gardens sign posted . we were visiting out of season and I know they have more activities for kids etc planned in summer, but the botanical gardens themselves seemed a bit tired , a lot of the plants seemed to be dead . The best bit was reading the visitors book... More

As a resident in the Endcliffe and Broomhill area for several years I am a frequent visitor to the botanical gardens. There is always lots to see regardless of the season and exhibits are often changing. As well as the glass houses themselves there is an enormous amount to explore packed into a very small space. It's very easy to... More

I have been to Sheffield Botanical gardens many times in summer, spring, autumn and winter and it doesn't mater what time of the year there is always something to see. Obviously the majority is outside, so on cold and wet days it is probably only worth a shorter visit, but when the weather is in nice you could spent the... More

The place it self is kinda big. A lot of flowers, but depends on when you are coming. Spring is the best time of course.
