A nice place to sit and have a picnic or a quiet space to chill out. I have not been yet in winter but I endeavour to go.

The botanical gardens are very pretty, with little place to explore. There is also a nice cafe at the top of the park which is really nice.

After being a Sheffield resident for 2 and a half years now, the Botanical Gardens remains one of my favourite hang out spots. A relaxing summer ice cream sat on a blanket under the shade of a great oak? Yes please! (Or whichever type of foliage, they're all labelled so you can learn too!!). Or maybe you prefer a brisk... obviously this place is beautiful to visit during the spring and summer, but we find it lovely and quit on a rainy day, with welly boots to go and explore. we tend to take a picnic, although the café is nice . the range of trees and flowers etc is immense, definitely worth a visit if you are in sheffield

I never tire of visiting "The Tans" as I`ve known them since childhood. A truly beautiful area within 10 minutesof the city centre, yet it feels as if you`re in the beautiful gardens of a country stately home. Well maintained and hugely varied there`s no more enjoyable and relaxing way of spending a summers afternoon than meandering round the many visual... More

This is a wonderful garden in Sheffield for friends and families to meet. This time this year it's a little cold but still a lovely place to walk through.

This is a great place to be regardless of the season. Plenty of walks, well maintained gardens, lots of seats and a lovely cafe supplying delicious meals. Take a picnic and a football and enjoy an afternoon with family and friends. Seek out the bear pit and play hide and seek amongst the trees.

A visit to the botanical gardens in sheffield is always a joy. Parking is on the streets around the gardens but is either free or at low costs. It's not an all day trip out but if you've got a couple of hours to spare it's worth a visit.
