The 'old town hall' building in fact replaced an even older building in the mid C19. It's an elegant chaeaux style edifice which has remained stead fast despite the change in the conext around her. See the interiors if you can!

I have not yet been inside of this building, but the exterior view of Sheffield Town Half is great in both day and night.

A beautiful place that is right in the centre of the town. Fantastic architecture with amazing fountains that are full with people during the summer cooling off.

This is probably one of my favourite parts of Sheffield..... I have visited this site numerous times and my breath is taken away at this architecture. It is nice to look at in the evenings due to the fountains which are lit up at certain times.

Sheffield Town Hall is a beautiful building located at the city centre, right next to the Peace Gardens, Millenium Gallery and Winter Garden. Absolutely beautiful and you can see it from afar, so it helps when you're trying to find your way in a new city.

Being a student in a busy-student city like Sheffield you never really respect what you have or you never have the "time" to stop for a while and I enjoy the beautiful building. Grab a coffee from a nearby coffee shop, sit near the fountains and enjoy the moment! It worths a break from our busy lives!!

Now that the locally-christened "Wedding Cake" building has been demolished to make way for new hotels, couples can get married at The Town Hall as did my husband and I. The sweeping central stairway is an incredible backdrop for wedding photos, I can't recommend the Town Hall enough as a wedding venue. Perfect.
