nice and grand place to visit. gothic style architecture, right next to peace gardens. placed right in the city centre. very close to some good restaurants.
It's a great place. Really big and warm. I was lucky because I can inside of this building since I'm not a UK citizen. I was having a MUN conference which held by the university of Sheffield. Nice place, nice atmosphere.

Gentleman in Main hall very helpful, seemed a bit disorganised and we seemed to be waiting a long time for ceremony to begin so children in party became restless. The registrar seemed to base her voice between a mixture of Benny hill and Dick Emery which made the whole affair quite comical.
You can hold a civil ceremony up the beautiful staircase in the mirror room or the Mandela room, which is stunning with oak panelling and rich, lush carpets. Then afterwards you can hold your evening reception in the beautiful silver room, that when dressed with chair covers and uplighting is one of the most beautiful wedding venues in sheffield

Fantastic old building. Got married here in 2006 on a beautiful sunny day and had photos taken at the side where the peace garden fountains were in full swing.Is a part of Sheffield heritage we are very proud of.
