Very welcoming and professional service - good attention to detail and very family friendly. Ceremony conducted in warm and meaningful manner. Exceeded expectations!

Being a student in a busy-student city like Sheffield you never really respect what you have or you never have the "time" to stop for a while and I enjoy the beautiful building. Grab a coffee from a nearby coffee shop, sit near the fountains and enjoy the moment! It worths a break from our busy lives!!

Now that the locally-christened "Wedding Cake" building has been demolished to make way for new hotels, couples can get married at The Town Hall as did my husband and I. The sweeping central stairway is an incredible backdrop for wedding photos, I can't recommend the Town Hall enough as a wedding venue. Perfect.

I have visited a couple of times, once for a civic reception and once for a bag drop at the city centre 10k! An interesting building inside and out, and I would recommend it as a venue for formal functions or for a quick sightseeing trip

It's a great place. Really big and warm. I was lucky because I can inside of this building since I'm not a UK citizen. I was having a MUN conference which held by the university of Sheffield. Nice place, nice atmosphere.

I've only been here once for a tour but other times to get birth certificates, the building is gorgeous, I think it's Victorian, there is a walk of fame outside with Sheffield's famous people named on stars, there are lots of rooms to visit and there are rooms which can be hired, also the grand staircase which is fabulous and... Gentleman in Main hall very helpful, seemed a bit disorganised and we seemed to be waiting a long time for ceremony to begin so children in party became restless. The registrar seemed to base her voice between a mixture of Benny hill and Dick Emery which made the whole affair quite comical.

You can hold a civil ceremony up the beautiful staircase in the mirror room or the Mandela room, which is stunning with oak panelling and rich, lush carpets. Then afterwards you can hold your evening reception in the beautiful silver room, that when dressed with chair covers and uplighting is one of the most beautiful wedding venues in sheffield
