Arrived around 4.30, we were on holiday in the area and the dog hadn't had a proper walk so that was the only real reason we went. First we were hit by a parking charge which we thought steep so late in the day - then decided to put younger 2 to park with dad to speed up my walk... More

A lovely day out, had lunch and took my so absolutely loved it, the park especially! He enjoyed playing on the slides, climbing and digging in the sand. Shame the price of parking doesn't cover the price if the childrens park. The cafe wasn't overpriced thankfully and everything was very clean. Would visit more often if I didn't live other... More

Visited here after earlier disappointing visit to Sheffield Meadowhall Shopping Centre, so really enjoyed the peace and solitude of this haven. Enjoyed watching the wildlife, took pity on a goose who had a seriously damaged foot, poor creature. My husband isn't able to do much walking at present, so he was enjoyed the scenery, watching the wildlife whilst I went... More

Went to RV for a bike ride with the kids. It was a last minute plan so didn't have chance to do a pack up. Decided to go to the cafe but unfortunately the service was terrible. The girl behind the counter was rude and impatient and the cook barked at us through the hatch when our lunch was ready... More

This is a lovely park with plenty of parking - only £2 midweek for blue badge holders. Cafe and courtyard and toilets to the left of the car park with food reasonably priced and served by pleasant staff. There is a builidng in the courtyard which houses various crafts but we were more interested in the walks around the lake.... More

We stayed at rother Valley country park, for one night, the portaloo had no light working, no loo roll and no running water no where to get a wash until after 9.00 am, poor shower facilities, over priced for 5.00 per head camping. On the upside nice friendly staff, good coffee and good food.

Visited early morning for a different place to walk my dog. It was a bright chilly start and was amazed at the amount of birdlife almost at touching distance. Great safe setting to see these birds for children. I will definitely be revisiting with my grandchildren.

This is a highlight of South Yorkshire. I love to come for a walk around the lake and watch all the water sports take place. I'm not 100% sure but I think it's a 5km walk so not ideal for anyone with a bad back as there is no quick route if you see what I mean. But brilliant location.
