Nice views

Great views around rother valley. A great place for watersports or to run/cycle or just relax on one of the many grass verges with a BBQ.

Came here with the kids and had a good day, good little cafe to go to and boats etc to go on, we had a laugh on the rowing boats as we couldn't row so the towed us out twice then we lost the oar! They wasn't bothered at all they helped us and even have us a quick lesson... More

This is a great place for activities such as cycling and boating. There is a decent cycle hire place and you can actually get 6 or more on a four wheeled bike with trailer. We are planning on taking a picnic next time we go. There is a cafe but the menu is limited to cooked breakfasts and other fried... More

Hard to believe that this vast park is just outside sheffield City centre, really feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. We visited on a Friday afternoon and was relatively quiet but would imagine the weekends are really busy. Couple of parks for the kids to play in with the usual swings, slides etc. Quaint little train ride,... More

I have lived in the local area for 40 years and value highly a resource such as Rother Valley especially for dog walking. I have a very young terrier and the nature of the environment offers so much to stimulate her mind and exercise her body. However I am becoming increasingly disheartened by the number of geese in and around... More

Ok so £3.50 to get in and park - there is plenty of parking and for little kids worth a visit - in terms of activities there is canoeing, water skiing bike hire etc all which are extra cost. The worst thing about the park from my perspective is the quality of the circuit around the lakes - the surface... More

Had booked for our 8 year old boy to do the cable ski and arrived at 9am. £3.50 to park the car and so what we stayed until 4pm so it was a bargain. We parked right next to the cable ski place and by 11am it was packed and a hive of activity. My son loved the cable ski... More

Visited at 5.30pm, told entry was £3.00 reduced from £3.50 due to it being late, this is a total rip off. After 5pm there are no facilities other than the bar at the skiing area open, cafe closed, adventure park closed, craft shop closed, train closed, bike hire and boat hire closed. I wouldn't mind paying £3.00 if facilities were... More

If you are a water sports enthusiast this is a great place to be. If you like cycling on a gentle terrain you can either bring your own bike -- or hire one. Handicapped "cyclists" are also catered for with special tandems. Not seen these elsewhere. If you like to feed ducks and geese bring a very large bag of... More

Visited the park as recommended by the staff at the Pebley Inn. Went mainly to give our dog a good run. Disappointed by all duck and goose mess around, but if you're going to have ducks and geese it is inevitable.
