Unusual and unexpected when you go inside! A peaceful and tranquil haven set in beautiful countryside. Check it is open first though, we were lucky to find such knowledgable and helpful people present.

Despite having lived in Sheffield for many years, I had never seen Beauchief Abbey until last weekend. It is now in the middle of a golf course, but well worth a look, although there isn't really that much to see. The Abbey tower itself wasn't open when I went but there was a peaceful atmosphere and the green open space... More

Lovely gardens - friendly staff - comfortable rooms. The only thing that disturbed a perfect night was the fire-alarm going off and my companion was reluctant to leave the delicous nibbles they were enjoying at the time.
