I think the Oracle is a bit of an interesting shopping centre - it reminds me of the Darwin and Pride Hill shopping centres in Shrewsbury. The centres themselves aren't big enough to warrant a visit just to them. I've lived in Reading a number of years now and I regret not reviewing the Oracle when I first moved here.... More

Please be advised that it's probably a good idea to make sure you have a decent breakfast before coming to this place! We walked what seemed like miles on end & by the end of it all 3 children were fast asleep.......& I wasn't far off either!! Nice place with decent shops. Plenty of places to eat too 😊

Really wide range of shops here and in the surrounding streets. Good and easy parking which could be considered quite expensive for the whole day but easy to take stuff back as you're going along and then out for a nice meal in the evening.

Walked through the Oracle on a visit to Reading. It is a great place to spend sometime and money. The walk along the River is refreshing and there are numerous bars, cafes and restaurants to visit and sit watching the odd narrow boat slip passed. One place to visit if in Reading

I'm aware the Riverside area is privately owned, I am also aware of what this area looked like prior to being built, I was one of the many that enjoyed evenings at such classic venues as Branigans and Bar Med! ( sarcasm by the way, I thought I should specify, as the man in the yellow haven't, did not understand... More

There's not a huge selection of shop really. Quite a few empty shops. Parking is rather high really. It's ok but much better shopping centres around within an hours drive.

I had expected the Oracle to be a lot bigger than it was, there was a great variety of food outlets to choose from and nice outside eating along the river. However, in terms of shops there wasn't as many as I expected nor was there a huge amount of choice. That said, it's OK for a quick shopping trip.

What is there to say about the Oracle other than it is crowded and starting to look a bit run down. Nothing really interesting here. Standard chain shops and restaurants. Lots of the shops aren't even occupied.....
