The meadow allows you to take a long walk, peace and quiet. You can rest along the way as many benches are provided. It is a great place to visit.

Have enjoyed strolling through Christ Church Meadow on several occasions as it is pleasant and relaxing. Often access it close to Magdalen and then emerge, refreshed, closer to town.

We lived for 1 week in one of the appartments the colledge during vacation time rents to visitors. Very well managed site with many friendly people. ***** For guests Breakfast and bookable Dinner in the "Hall" -> Harry Potter Evensong in the Christ Church Cathedral on the campus. Try to go on a day when the service is conducted with... More

A beautiful green area in the centre of this historic city. A beautiful oasis of calm in the heart of this bustling city.

Such a beautiful place and so much quintessential England on Sunday afternoon. The grounds are lovely, a place to dream about going to University near by.

I often pop over to the Meadow with a novel, or packed lunch, during a busy day at work. There isn't much seating, but so many lawns to choose from and beautiful views. It's near Caffe Loco which is pricey but nice place for coffee or breakfast, and often has an ice-cream van. Beware the summer, when the tourist queue... More

Considering this is in the heart of a City it is a surprisingly peaceful walk. There were lots of people around but it still felt very tranquil. The architecture in this part of Oxford is stunning anyway but add some lovely wide paths plenty of seats to rest on and a very well kept meadow and the result is pure... More

This place is just amazing. Being able to just through the gates and have these spectacular views is wonderful. It does cost to go inside the Church but if you want to just look on the grounds it's free.
