This park is open during daylight hours. Lovely place to walk around, one part is close to the river where you can often see rowers hard at play.

I spent the whole morning walking into the meadows. Just a beautiful place it is. Christ Church College and Meadows are both the must visit places in Oxford.

Beautiful location that doesn't seem to have changed over many years of visits. It is delightful to step from the bustle of modern Oxford into the quiet of this idyllic location, and just take a little time to admire the architecture, the quirky sights and the peace!

This pasture/park was not an A-list attraction for our Oxford visit, but it might very well have been. My very brief visits – scarcely more than peeks – left me wanting more. Should we have the good fortune to return to Oxford and spend more time there, I know that Christ Church Meadow will make a great place to relax... More

The Christ Church Meadow is peaceful and serene. It is a lush, green area of natural beauty. We were told that there is a path that leads to the Thames, but as we were pressed for time, we did not get the opportunity to see it. Hope to visit again next year.

When the sights of Oxford get too much for you, one can meander across the Christ Church Meadow to get a different perspective of the city. A path also leads down to the River Thames and if one has the foresight to pack a sandwich and a drink, nothing better can be recommended than a lazy afternoon watching the punts... More

So nice to get away from the busy streets and wander over to the river for a stroll along the path. Having such large and accessible greenspaces is what makes Oxford a nice place to visit rather thana tiring one.

Do it at the weekend if you want to see a bit of action on the river - punters, rowers, lovers in pedalo-boats, canal-boats and the well-healed enjoying a river picnic. Start at the Head of the River Pub by Folly Bridge. Just behind the pub is a footpath and a wee pedestrian bridge leading onto the beautiful path beside... More
