Located behind Christ Church college, this is a great place for a picnic, lie around and read, or have a walk by the river. Very relaxing and fun. Recommended for a glorious English day.

It's free to visit and therefore if you are around in Oxford don't forget to be here. I didn't visit the church but even without that, my trip to the meadows was quite worthwhile. The grass is very well maintained here, and with the backdrop of the church, taking a walk at Christ Church Meadows becomes a worthwhile experience. Christ... More

The meadow provides an excellent escape from the busy, full streets of Oxford. Great place to re-charge and gives different views of the colleges.

Beautiful place, very relaxing even with all the tourists. Simply dont realise that you are in the middle of a busy bustling city. Easy to imagine yourself back in time.

We enjoyed walking by the Cherwell and comparing Oxford with Cambridge punting, the iconic view across the meadow to Christ Church.

Great place to walk, run, have a picnic or just admire the beauty of the meadow. You can start at the War Memorial Garden from St Aldates, continue along Dead Man's Walk towards Rose lane and end up at the Botanic Garden which is worth visiting as well.

A walk around Christ Church Meadow is kind of a relief in this busy town. And you don't have to go outside the town center. It's a part of it. Well worth a walk in.

A gentle stroll approx 90 minutes, taking in splendid views of the colleges, plenty of spires. Good views of the Thames.
