I took a day trip from London to Cambridge and Oxford. A wonderful way to spend a day with so much interesting history to learn about. Both cities are gorgeous in their own unique ways. Christ Church College is a beautiful building. A must see if you're into architecture. Also, the dining room is a recognisable feature for those who... More

If you love Harry Potter like I do, you will love Christ Church College. Many places at the college were either used as inspiration for the films or they actually filmed there (in some cases, both!). If you like Alice in Wonderland or Lewis Carroll, the Alice window in the Great Hall is something great to behold. If you allow... More

Christ Church, Oxford, probably the most famous and richest of all colleges in Oxford. 13 British Prime Ministers were produced here. A fascinating place. Founded in the 16th C by Cardinal Wosley, Christ Church was named after our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Unfortunately the Great Hall was not open when we were there. We were told that the Harry... I've been there 2 years ago when spent a rainy day in Oxford. We went in to this college, which is a stunning place with great architecture and just inside I was informed that some parts of HP movies been filmed here, so it was surprise for me. We walked around the 'great hall' staircases and I could recognize than... More

The tour is restricted because the Great Hall is closed to visitors as it is being renovated. The tour price has been reduced to take account of the closure.

Stepping into Christ Church, with it's bowler hatted Custodians and beautiful architecture is like stepping into a different world. The noise of Oxford fades away into the serenity. Stroll around the lily pond in the centre of Tom Quad and the koi will come and greet you, see the staircase featured in the first Harry Potter film (look up at... More

This is without doubt the highlight of our Oxford Visit and is a must for all visitors. We went just before it opened and it was very quiet, (it was a Thursday) and we were in awe of this building. One cannot describe the feeling you have when you enter it and all the rooms have an atmosphere of all... More

Visited this amazing college as part of the oxford hop on hop off tour. The architectural marvel of this college would want one to study there. When we visited exams were on so certain areas were restricted. The chapel was amazing with fantastic paintings. The centre lawn was too good. The museum was closed hence could not see. Certainly worth... More
