Lovely inside with beautiful stained glass and architecture, great choir for Sunday and evensong. There is a little art gallery, worth seeing, and scenic quad with fountain in front.

Wonderful singing and beautiful building - after walking round Oxford for the day I waited in the nice little cafe opposite with a good big coffee and then walked through the darkened quad pas the fountain to enter the wonderful church. The subdued lighting added to the atmosphere and the male choir were excellent. A perfect end to a wonderful... More

Interesting place although not much information given to you if you're not on a tour. Hall was not open for access. It's alright for a nosy at how the 'intellectual' live, but definitely not worth the entrance fee. Many more beautiful buildings can be found on the streets outside!

Beautiful. For Harry Potter fans, the dining hall is CLOSED for months for renovation of the ceiling, so take that into consideration when planning a visit. Still worth a look, though.

Wonderful cathedral, college and grounds at there best. One of the oldest colleges in Oxford. Besides the college you must walk through Christ Church meadows besides the rivers Thames and Cherwell.

Beautiful college in a beautiful setting. Very interesting to see how many Prime Ministers and Captains of Industry were educated at Christ Church! This tour though is an absolute must see for Harry Potter fans - it was the filming location for a lot of the Harry Potter scenes especially the school dining hall scenes.

We arrived and started queuing 20 minutes before the afternoon opening time which was a very good idea as the queue was very long by the time the college opened. The entrance fee, £14 for a family ticket, was quite expensive compared to other colleges in Oxford but we thought it was worth the fee. We were only visiting college... More

At its best, Christ Church offers one of the best and most informative visitors' attraction in Oxford. It is surely the grandest of the colleges and its history, as related on a good DVD, extends over 1000 years in all. The Hall is magnificent, though spoilt by catering too strongly for Harry Potter enthusiasts. HOWEVER, not all of the various... More

We toured the college during the day but the dining hall was closed for lunch; a good thing because we were obliged to return in late afternoon to see the legendary inspiration for the Harry Potter films: the ticket allowed us to return and when we did, the table was laid for dinner and the hall was magically lit by... We arrived for Evensong and it was absolutely beautiful. Candles a dimly lit church and beautiful music. The choir was composed of older and younger boys who harmonized beautifully together and the acoustics were amazing. This short hour was probably my favorite place we visited in England. If you didn't feel a little holy or moved after experiencing the fantastic... More
