The architecture is stunning and the setting is perfect. It was a busy attraction at the time of our visit but well worth a visit. The grand dining hall used for the Harry Potter films has stunning stained glass windows and such a sense of history. The cathedral is beautiful, again with the most wonderful stained glass windows. We queued for over half an hour in the heat. to buy our tickets. When we finally arrived at the front of the queue, we noticed a small sign saying the cathedral was closed. I gave my Sight Seeing Bus ticket to claim our 10% reduction (clearly stated on the ticket) and was abrubtly informed that everybody pays a reduced... more

I can see why Harry Potter was filmed here. A spectacular Great Hall. An awesome quad with surreal tower. The Picture Gallery is a must. Leonardo, Raphael, Botticelli and other Renaissance Masters are here. The Cathedral was the 'icing on the cake' for me. A giant's tomb, a shrine, beautiful architecture.... Had it all! more

Christ Church College was the embodiment of what I expected to see at Oxford. The beautiful historic buidlings especially the cathedral and the dining hall which is recognisable in the Harry Potter films. The entry fee was well worth the visit. more

This college is simply awesome. The imposing facade is gorgeous, ancient vines creeping all over sections of the front, treelined avenue leading to the river. The entrance fee is £3.90 per adult (as of Jan 2008) which is reasonable for what you see. The dining hall and the stairs leading to it are recognisable from the Harry Potter films and... more
