I visited on a Sunday afternoon so there were huge crowds - I would have thought that the Hogwarts experience would make teens more excited... The buildings are amazing - though the Great Hall was closed, so the experience was short and I left unsatisfied. The chapel was really beautiful and the ladies there were kind enough to provide information... More

A very short visit since the Great Hall was closed. Too bad. There's a nice cathedral inside with beautiful glass stains.

Really enjoyed a walk around the college and gardens. Complete with Harry Potter staircase.we went into Christ church too which had very helpful guides, one of whom gave us a peek into the garden where Alice Liddell, the subject of Alice in wonderland played as a child and where Lewis Carroll got his inspiration. Magic

Christ Church is one of the largest, wealthiest and most famous colleges of the University of Oxford. Although it is a college, I would rather not call the college 'Christ Church College'. Christ Church was founded by Thomas Wolsey, Cardinal Archbishop and Lord Chancellor of England, as Cardinal Collge. When he fell from power, King Henry VIII refounded the college... More

We visited the college largely due to the fact that the Great Hall is one which was used as inspiration for that that is in Harry Potter. Unfortunately, this is closed until September. However, the grounds themselves are impressive if a little expensive to enter...

We visited Oxford with a group of 75 15-year old Dutch pupils and considering that last year's Harry Potter tour was a misnomer of the first order, we decided to give Christ Church a try, split into three more manageable groups of 25. Alas, the big hall was closed due to restoration and the chapel was out of bounds because... More

What a breathtakingly beautiful building, whatever else you don't have time to visit, make this a priority.

They charge £7 per entry to visit the famous dining hall where Harry Potter series take place. Not worth the price as nothing special inside. The courtyard inside is just plain green grass. Not a single tree is in sight. The outside of Christchurch college is so much nicer.
