I can't imagine anywhere better to stay in Oxford. Magnificent ancient buildings, with modernised interiors (go for the Meadow Building for an ensuite room). Breakfast in the Great Hall is quite an experience.Don't miss the Master's Garden, and the walk down to the river. If you are a single traveller, it's particularly good value, compared with hotels and their single... More

College accommodation is changing rapidly and Christchurch has to be at the top of the list. Entering the sleeping quad at night has to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Eating breakfast at the top table in the Great Hall and imagining centuries of history (not to mention Harry Potter filming), is another great. And the ensuite accommodation, with a view to... More

Our group attended Sunday Choral Evensong at Christ Church Cathedral, and it was an experience to be cherished. The choir sang beautifully. It wasn’t the renowned boys choir, but it was plenty good enough for me. I was enthralled. After the service, which lasted about an hour, we were free to roam about and photograph the interior of the cathedral,... More

I'm a priest in the Church in Wales and my diocese chose to hold it regular clergy conference at Christ Church. The facilities are first rate and so comfy; I didn't want to leave! It was wonderful joining in with the worshipping life of the Cathedral (daily Morning Prayer, Holy Communion, Evensong etc. where anyone is welcome. We had one... More

The entrance fee for this college was £9 when most were about £2. They are definitely capitalizing on their connection to Harry Potter. Our Daughter really enjoyed seeing the stairs they filmed on and the great hall. The grounds and buildings are all very beautiful so worth seeing but you will pay for the privilege.

You can feel the heritage of this place and the dinning room looks like it came directly from Harry Potter. Especially great for kids.

Stayed here for a Saturday night in order to experience a different slice of Oxford life. Room was great, spacious, clean and all necessary accessories - even a fridge. Building and grounds are lovely. Welcome at lodge by porter was disappointing and minimal. We had to return to ask for ID badges needed to let us into certain areas that he... More

I loved this College and Cathedral. Only shame was that the Grand Hall was in use so we couldn't visit it, which I was looking forward to.

£9 each to go in but we thought it was worth it. The Hall was amazing but packed, very historic with amazing paintings. For Harry Potter fans a visit here is a must as several scenes were shot here on the staircase and the hall was the inspiration for Hogwarts Hall. The cathedral and cloisters were lovely, we had a... We attended Eventide services at Christ Church Cathedral at 6:00 pm (most days) and enjoyed both the worship and the youthful choir.
