This is a lovely relaxing river cruise in oxford that lasts 50 minutes and it goes off from Foley bridge. We bought our tickets the night before online and got a discounted rate! £9 pp compared to £12. It takes you up and down the thames river with a running commentary that was quite interesting full of local knowledge re... More

We were lucky as the weather was kind. We had booked a picnic to have on the cruise, and we're not disappointed. I thought it would be a big boat and lots of people, could not be more wrong. Small boat with about a dozen people and the food was all laid out on the table. It was a very... More

We were a party of 7, and did the sunset pic-nic cruise. The weather was perfect and so was the trip. Peter, our skipper and guide, kept us informed and well entertained with information about what we were seeing along the way. The boat is electric, so the cruise is truly quiet and relaxing. The boat seats 12 maximum (... More

This was bought as a present for us and we had envisaged a romantic picnic cruising up the river. However with it being a small boat you have to share tables with other passengers so wasn't quite what we expected. Luckily the other passengers on our table were very nice. The picnic food was a lovely snack. It did get... More

Highly recommend this gentle evening cruise, with Giles at the helm and two capable waiters, one of whom deftly 'manages' the lock.... whilst the other 'adds finishing touch to the deserts! " Well organised, pre-departure select your menu choice for 3 courses, including a glass of Prosecco. Sit back, relax and enjoy the 'scene setting' 1930's music. Look out for... More

We took the 40 minute cruise for £7.50. It was great to just lazily boat up to the locks and back. Not much to see but nice to relax and have a laugh at people trying to row up the river. Nice place to have a coffee and a sit down on the boat. Heaps of other cruises on offer.

Whilst on a recent trip to Oxford we had a lunchtime picnic cruise with Oxford river cruises in one of their smaller boats. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time. Mark the skipper realised that we were catching up with family and moderated his guided tour. The picnic lunch was perfectly adequate and the option of BYO wine a bonus. We... More

Oxford River Cruise and Dinner (provided by "The Folly"). Pre-dinner Campari soda: double shot, ice, slice of orange, soda. Perfect. Dinner on board: creamed wild mushrooms on toast, sea bass fillets with creamed leeks, new potatoes and lobster bisque. Excellent. Golden Mile Pinot Noir, 2010, Marlborough, New Zealand. Have had worse Burgundies for three times the price. Blackberry and Marshmallow... More
