Peaceful and relaxing trip up and down the River Thames. Skipper Mark was very informative and entertaining, the lunch and wine were excellent and the river views were great an all round success!

Excellent peaceful trip up the river Thames with a great guide a glass of wine and a picnic lunch. The trip goes upstream with a stop off at a local pub. On board for a good couple of hours.

We had booked (or so I thought) for a lunchtime picnic on the Thames with Oxford River Cruises which was part of our 60th birthday gift from the family. We travelled down from Yorkshire to Oxford and were really looking forward to the experience. When we got there it transpired that the booking had not been made ...but thanks to... More

My husband arranged a punt up the river as a surprise as we missed out on a recent visit. It was a beautiful day and I am pleased to say he booked a chauffeur which was a worry as I thought he was going to punt and fall in!! The chauffeur was very chatty and the hour booked went incredibly... More

Booked it for my husband's Christmas present. He could not go so took a friend, we ordered a picnic as well. It was a lovely and informative way to spend a Sunday afternoon. The person knew what he was talking about and answered many questions. The boat only had 12 people and this made it more personal. I am going... More

I booked with Oxford River Cruises for our group of 20 ladies to celebrate a very special hen do, the girls had a fabulous time. We started with some Pimms at the Folly before boarding. Our group had one long boat, with room for tables to eat at and an open area for a drinks reception. The covered area was... More

My Wife and I booked on-line (2 x £9) for the 50 minute cruise starting 11:00 on Friday 30th - we arrived early and waited in the bar area. We purchased coffees and they were delivered onto the boat at 11:00 when we departed. There are no toilet facilities on the 50 minute cruise so visit the facilities before you... More

We were given a voucher for a picnic boat trip, and booked for the late May bank Holiday. When we arrived in Oxford it was pouring down, so were a little apprehensive. We parked in the multi storey nearby, which was handy but expensive, and walked to Folly Bridge where we checked in and sat in The Folly drinking coffee... More

We purchased this river cruise in conjunction with the CitySightseeing Hop on - Hop off bus tour. The bus was £14 and the cruise included was £20. The guide and boatman Peter was very interesting and knowledgable. He was very happy to answer our numerous questions about narrow boats, boat licences and numerous other things. We cruised from Folley Bridge... More
