We were given a cruise and lunch as a gift token which we used last week. The weather was perfect which added to the experience. The boat was small with only twelve passengers, eight of us eating. The food was well presented, good selection and tasty, both the regular menu and my gluten free option. The service was friendly and welcoming and the... More

We took the 1230 picnic cruise, although we didn't order any food. It was interesting but I think longer than it needed to be as there wasn't a great deal to see. What we did see was lovely but as it was pretty chilly we were pretty much frozen by the end. It was interesting to see the boat houses... More

Aboard the Golden Slumbers Edwardian-esque boat built in 2008, we spent a very enjoyably relaxing two and a half hours, cruising down the Thames on a quintessentially English Monday afternoon. Accompanied by two other couples, we were a perfectly formed party of 6. Perfect for my Mother's 60th birthday, our boat was festooned with cushions, and we felt suitably rested... More

Enjoyed a very relaxing cruise that was very good value for money...great views of the river with a very informative pilot and on a day when the weather was not at its best the trip wasn't spoiled as we were given blankets to keep us snug

Hired the two edwardian-style boats to take a wedding party up the river to our reception venue. The boats were quiet and relaxing, as was the journey itself. The boats were easily booked via their websites and I was in constant communication with the company to ensure everything went according to plan. The pilots themselves were amiable and helpful, ensured... More

Our daughter bought us this as a Buyagift present and I wasn't sure what to expect. It was obviously handy that the weather was perfect, but there were just 12 of us in a nice little boat, 8 of whom were having the lunch, so we weren't cramped. The food was brought out from the hotel from whose jetty the... More

We were bought a trip on the river in Oxford for a gift. We were really looking forward to going. Once we eventually managed to activate the voucher online we organised our day around the river cruise. We got to Oxford and used the park and ride (you need plenty of change but much cheaper than parking in the town).... More

Thank you to Giles at the River cruise. We arrived in drizzle and I was feeling a bit disheartened by the weather since it is August and the height of summer but Giles soon put us all at ease. We had a beautiful old boat which we decorated in bunting and neon balloons. I took a matching tablecloth and napkins... More

I bought this for my husband and I as his Christmas present to introduce him to another side of Oxford, as I had lived nearby but he doesn't know it well. It was perfect. We arrived early and had a drink by the river first, then embarked with our fellow passengers. About 12 of us, around 2 tables so there... More
