I remember when the Brewhouse yard was always open and was a memorable place to visit as a child. It seems that lately it is very rarely open. It has great history and its a shame that they are not able to open their doors as often as they once did.

We were unfortunate not to be able to visit the Brewhouse as it is only open at weekends out of season. I have been before and wanted my friend to experience the 'go back in time' theme that they have. The cost of the Museum is included in the Castle Entrance Ticket, so great value for money. Had we returned... More

|f you have children don't forget to pick a question sheet at the start as this will give great pleasure to all going round. If you don't mind feeling old then this is the place for you. Looking at some of the exhibits reminds you of your own childhood (depending on your age of course) Brought back some wonderful memories and our grandchildren enjoyed their school visit too.

A reasonably priced trip to "yesteryear". Lot's ooh look at that "we had one of them".Grandma "had one of those" "we used to turn the mangle handle". Just FANTASTIC moments of childhhood, we know we can never return to those moments, but this trip brought us (nearly) back.

We decided to be tourists in our own City and thoroughly enjoyed the Brewhouse. Very informative and interactive experience. Things to do for children and adults.
