Where do I start. A hidden gem. Right in town and so entertaining. We learnt so much about the justice system that they used to use and everything associated with it. I didn't expect it to be as fun and interesting as it was and time flew once we got in there. An absolute must for anyone visiting the city!

We visited today which was our first visit. We took our niece and her husband who were visiting us from new Zealand! It is a must do visit, we all thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our tour and in particular the sheriff of Nottingham was fantastic! He really was in full character . all the staff are very friendly and... More

An interactive tour with enthusiastic actors, they get you involved but not to the point where you feel uncomfortable, it's all good spirited. Not too scary even for young kids but enough gruesome detail to entertain those who like a bit of gore! Packed with clear and interesting info, really makes you think. Plenty of seasonal events advertised for those... More

Exploring the galleries of justice at night seemed like a good idea however the "hour long" tour was over in about 45 minutes and I felt we were rushed through so that the guides could get home early which together with the female guide was was also an academy award winner for "shrieking and overacting", spolied what was otherwise an... Thank you for taking the time to feedback your comments about the Medieval Sheriff’s Banquet. We take all feedback very seriously and we are very sorry to hear that the experience did not meet your expectations. We occasionally have to make difficult decisions when capacity is low on public events. Unfortunately, numbers can vary depending on the time of year.... More

We visited this fabulous building just a few days ago. We were both blown away by it. What a place! So much history surronds this building and it's lower quarters. We both thought that the 'actors' giving the scheduled tours were very good. They 'played' their parts very well and were very informative. They really made you think about what... More

I wasn't really sure how much could be got out of a visit to a courthouse, but there was a lot more here than I'd expected, and the 90 minutes or so of the tour were all really interesting. As well as the courthouse you get to visit the prison cells - showing how life for prisoners would have been... More

I thought that it was all a bit Disney when we arrived and were met by our guide with cats eye contact lenses! However the history communicated as we toured the Galleries was interesting and at times a little gruesome - horrible histories come to life!
