I chose the Galleries of Justice as an activity while showing someone who had never been to Nottingham the city, we were not disappointed! We went on one of the tours of the galleries which takes about an hour and a half (plus the self guided exhibitions). Staff were very knowledgable and take you through the history of the building... This can be visited by itself but tickets are cheaper when conjoined with city of caves in Nottingham. History of justice with a definite slant towards education. This is a partly guided tour wirh a mixture of live actor's and historical exhibits. Want to learn about hanging from the middle ages, see real cells and see the conditions in which... More

Visited here with children aged 10 and had a great day out. It was really interesting exploring the courts and prisons. A few children found the caves and pits a little frightening though.

Visited last year with my daughter. Tour very informative the guides were very authentic especially the woman with the bad eye. Visited a mock court which was interesting and had a walk around the jail yard. Daughter who was 12 was very impressed and entertained.

A great adult night out, where sensible shoes though, lots of tight steep stairs that aren't good in heels. Excellent actors make for a great tour - although I don't think I ever really knew where I was, which takes the edge of the creepy-ness slightly. A really enjoyable night - great value for the money.

We had a day out with 2 teenage boys who really enjoyed the tour of the courts and prisons. The actors and tour guides were interesting - things were kept brief and the pace of the tour was just right. We enjoyed the role play in the court and the prison was full of interesting finds around every corner. We... More

We had wanted to visit this attraction for a long time, finally got round to it and it was well worth it. The costumed demonstrators were well suited to their roles and were clearly enjoying themselves. Some of the information is possibly not suitable for very young children but I am sure that this would be dealt with in a... More

We decided to do some 'legal urban exploring' and five this a try.. we didn't regret it once! The actors are fantastic and the place itself is coldly amazing. We would go back here again... maybe try a ghost hunt next time :)

Yummy cakes and filling sandwiches. The biggest downside of this cafe is it is easy to miss as it is inside a tourist attraction and quite tucked away if you don't know it's there

Attended a function which started with a ghost tour of the old cells and graphic details of life in the holding prison. Then had a very nice buffet style carvery meal which was delicious. No complaints, the whole party annoyed the ambience and food.
