This is definitely a PG, no not the tea bags, Parental Guidance! The missus and I took her daughter and kids out for the day and ended at the Galleries of Justice. I'd never been before, but had heard great things about it. I would not recommend this to parents with children under the age of 8 however, I have... More

I would recommend that everyone visited here at least once in their lifetime! The tour is very good, I learnt a lot about the history of the building, Nottingham, and how prisoners were dealt with back in the day. There are a lot of interesting artifacts and things to do whilst in the Galleries of Justice. The staff are also... More

I and 9 of my office colleagues chose the Evil Sheriff's Medieval Banquet for our Xmas Party. It was a blast from start to finish and made all the better with the evil sheriff who played his part magnificently! The only downside was that the food wasn't very appealing but a few extra drinks made up for it. We had... More

Fascinating building which includes a court room and prisons below ground level. There was also a World War I exhibition on the ground floor which was worth seeing. The costumed guides were great fun, although the exhibits and stories were quite gruesome and not for the faint-hearted. But the kids on the tour seemed to enjoy the whole experience. Recommended!

We decided to give this a go as you get 20% if booked together with the City of Caves which we also enjoyed! We visited quite early on a weekday so there was only the 2 of us when a one of the actors/guides came to meet us and first of all explained the gory history of the courts before... More

I've been here on several occasions, and each time has been a little different. Our latest trip was on a day when the guides were dressed up and trying (some better than others!) to be in character. The explanation of the old court room and procedures was well done (and my wife was chosen to play the part of the... More
