A fantastic place to learn about our history - were we really that bad!! If you have children - take them......it will help them behave!!!!! In fact I think we should take all criminals - it might help them behave better........

This is such an amazing place to come to and the guides are just brilliant. You get such a good insight to what life used to be like in prisons and even to get to join in yourself with a convict number. You can also wander around yourself when the guides are finished and it is really good value. Don't... More

Visited in February, have to say that my partner wanted to go more than me but when we arrived it was better than i thought.. We booked onto a tour and there was around 12-15 of us being shown around and told stories by three actors. They was very good and informative about the place and its history. A very... More

Happy the justice the way it is now! Wow the way things were if that ever came back I don't think... More

Good hour and a half spent with 3 "actor" guides. Educational and entertaining. Word of advice though - unless you visit in the summer months, dress warmly as although the attraction is indoors, it is also open to the elements - open windows and doors for example and we were very cold by the end.

I last came here on my own about 18 years ago (I believe) I don't think it had been open long when I came. This time I came with my partner as part of a sightseeing day in Nottingham. Good Last time I came, I don't remember a guided tour. I felt that this worked very well, better than it... More

I went with my two daughters at half term - they are both young teens and both at school. They look their age, possibly even young for their age, but we were forced to pay for three adults as we could not prove their ages and that they were full time school children. So, if you're going with any child... More

No parking available but staff helpful and approachable throughout the visit , especially catering for a disabled person who had problems with steps. Helpful and alternative arrangements were made throughout the visit. We were there about 2 to 3 hours, thoroughly involved in the exercise yard activities to the differing and tiny prison cells. We could all sympathise and even... More

If you are looking for a fantastic authentic experience this is it. Make sure you book a tour with a guide (it is not expensive) but the knowledge and acting is great you really feel part of the experience. I throughly enjoyed the courtroom having never been in one before. I don't know how anyone could survive a night in... More
