On entering Rock City I did notice the bouncers were not very chirpy, didn't even say hello. Went in bit dirty but always is, had a dance then suddenly a bouncer came from nowhere grabbed my boyfriend by the throat, holding him like this all the way out, he was thrown down the stairs with such force treated like an... We went to an alternative club night and though the three rooms of fantastic music were great there was no where just to sit, lounge and have a drink, it was either get on the floor or you'll have a terrible time. It was great for a few hours but after that you just want to jam. Really sticky off... More

Rock City is a good venue for seeing your favourite music artists, but it does need a clean up. Floors are sticky and grimy. They could also do with better security, as crowds can get out of control, and we witnessed a few people getting squashed and trampled on.

We drove up from Birmingham, parked in the nearby car park (unfair rates) and walked into the CIty Hall. sticky floors everywhere. We went on the Sunday and it was the last day of a 3 days Fest. Not much merchandise left, so we moved upstairs, it was busy but not packed. We loved Firetribe Brothers and Autograph because the... More

If I could give a lower score, I would. Usually, I would not attending this venue, however, as one of my favourite bands weren't playing closer to home I thought I would give it a go, little did I know I would be 1 of 5 people (that I am aware of) to be pick pocketed whilst trying to enjoy... Yes your feet stick to the floor and yes they keep the air con so cold you can bounce about in full leathers and still stay cool but this place has been buzzing for the three visits I have made. It's a three hour drive for me to get here and there are many closer venues to where I live... More

A lovely sized and laid out hall but let down by a few things. We stood at the top bar in the hall where there was more room but could still see the bands. Even though it wasn't that warm, being October, the air conditioning was blasting out and freezing us. Needless to say we all came down with bad... More

What a grotty, dirty place!! Ive never been anywhere before like it and won't be going back!! The floors were so sticky, that you had to keep moving your feet, or you'd have been stuck down!! The only thing good was Passenger, absolutely class act, would love to see him again, but if he went back to Rock City, wouldn't... More

The intimacy of the Passenger gig was not lost in this venue, however I almost lost my shoes from the sticky floor! If you park in the multi storey next door, make sure you head for the exit asap as you can wait 30-45 minutes for the pay station.
